Student answer (Band 5.0)

I want to talk about in future all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. Its use as a public transpots people travelling inside these driverless vehicles. We discuse about the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles.

Advantages of driverless vehicales in future people use AI tools tomuch. peoples installed advance Ai tool in cars ,buses and trucks, result is all vehicles will be driverless and most futuristic.Futuristic machines will be worked faster than people, and travel fast and safe drive. Tesla is most famous company of USA who made this type of vehicles and suply all ovet word. Last month tesla made a driverless car, bus and trucks in USA. Tesla lounch a flying car last month.

Disadvantages of all these futuristiic vehicles cansume large amount of electricity. All vehicles are computerize so any virus can distroy there systems, this reason driverless vehicles is not safe for people, because any virus is a big reason of accident. This reason people avoied this types of problems.

In my opinion, that a good invention in the future, because in future all thing are futuristic a flying cars and driverless buses and truck. The only peoples travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify both advantages and disadvantages and give a personal view, especially in the final paragraph, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the position on whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages is not clearly established: calling driverless vehicles “a good invention” does not directly compare the two sides. The benefits are asserted—such as faster and safer travel—but not explained or supported with a convincing example; the claims about Tesla and a flying car do not show how driverless vehicles benefit people. The risks of electricity use and computer viruses are also only briefly stated. The response is 192 words, below the 250-word minimum; 9 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop and compare your reasons, then state your judgement explicitly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic overall structure: an opening, a paragraph on advantages, one on disadvantages, and a concluding opinion. This helps the reader recognise the main sections. However, progression within paragraphs is weak, and several ideas are placed together without clear links. For example, the advantages paragraph moves from AI tools to faster travel, Tesla, and a flying car without explaining how these points connect. Phrases such as “This reason” are repeated and do not clearly show the relationship between the preceding idea and the next one. To improve, organise each paragraph around one main point, explain it, and use accurate linking expressions such as “As a result” or “By contrast” where the relationship is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “driverless vehicles,” “passengers,” “electricity,” “systems,” and “accident,” which makes the subject recognisable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled choices make parts difficult to understand, such as “public transpots,” “futuristiic,” “suply all ovet word,” and “avoied.” Some expressions are also imprecise, including “use AI tools tomuch” and “safe drive.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For instance, describe vehicles as “equipped with advanced AI,” and explain that they may “reduce the risk of accidents” rather than simply saying they “travel fast and safe drive.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt a few longer sentences, including “Futuristic machines will be worked faster than people, and travel fast and safe drive,” and “All vehicles are computerize so any virus can distroy there systems.” These show an effort to connect ideas, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction are frequent and sometimes obscure meaning. For example, “will be worked faster” needs a suitable active construction, while “all vehicles are computerize” requires a correctly formed verb phrase. The opening also contains incomplete or unclear sentence structures, such as “Its use as a public transpots people travelling inside these driverless vehicles.” Build accuracy first with clear simple sentences, then add controlled complex forms using “because,” “although,” or “which.” Check subject–verb agreement and verb forms when editing.
