Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is predicted that all road transport will be autonomous in future. There will no driver only passengers in the vehicles. Although, there are considerable advantages of automated vehicles such as reduction in road accidents and balance in vehicles on roads but disadvantages are undinable.
If driverless vehicles will be used on high level, it will cause unemployment. so many bus, car, or delivary truck drivers will lose their jobs. This the the biggest drawback of autonomous transport. Furthermore, technical errors and glitches another main reason for not using automated vehicles. Imagin you are on highway and your car is on high speed as steering wheel do not work physically in automated vehicles, you will not able to control it. It can cause a disastrous accident.
There are several ways in which driverless vehicles are beneficial. Initially, autonomous transport is helpful for reduction of road accidents. Statistics shows that most of the road accidents caused by human mistakes such as using mobile phone, being tired or drunk driving. As these are computerbased vehicles and computer do not get tired or distracked so it can cause reduction in road accidents. Moreover, automated vehicles can communicate with each other. It will create more balance on roads.
In conclusion, autonomous transport has some benefits but they have severe effects too which are more harmful than it's advantages. As it is good for reduction of road accidents but it can cause unempolyment, or technical glitch can cause accidents which are detrimental and outweighing it's advantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you argue that the disadvantages outweigh the benefits, and you address both sides of the question. The points about driver unemployment and technical failure are relevant, while reduced accidents and communication between vehicles provide a reasonable account of the benefits. The example of a car failing on a highway helps illustrate the risk. This meets the task well, but development is uneven: unemployment is asserted rather than explored, and the claim that vehicles will create “more balance on roads” is not explained. To strengthen the response further, clarify how vehicle-to-vehicle communication improves traffic flow and support the main drawbacks with more precise reasoning or an example. Your conclusion restates the position consistently, though it could synthesise the comparison more clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for disadvantages and advantages, and a conclusion. This makes the argument easy to follow, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help show relationships between points. However, some linking is mechanical, and the opening sentence of the first body paragraph (“If driverless vehicles will be used on high level”) does not connect smoothly to the explanation that follows. The contrast in the introduction is also difficult to track because several ideas are joined in one sentence. Use clearer topic sentences and vary transitions by showing the precise relationship between ideas. Check references such as “they” in the conclusion, which could refer to vehicles or benefits, to make the argument’s connections more exact.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “autonomous,” “technical errors,” “road accidents,” and “unemployment,” and you attempt some less common expressions such as “detrimental.” These choices communicate the main ideas, but inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes distract the reader: “undinable,” “delivary,” “distracked,” and “unempolyment” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “used on high level” and “create more balance on roads.” Aim for accurate spelling and natural collocations, and choose precise terms rather than repeating “automated vehicles” and “driverless vehicles.” A broader, more controlled range would make the discussion clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional example and clauses introduced by “Although” and “as.” However, errors in sentence construction and verb forms are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “There will no driver only passengers” needs a verb and clearer punctuation, while “If driverless vehicles will be used” uses an unsuitable verb form after “if.” Other examples include “Statistics shows” and “you will not able to control it,” which show problems with agreement and missing grammatical elements. Some sentences also run together, particularly in the introduction. Practise accurate conditional patterns, subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries before adding more complex structures.
