Student answer (Band 5.5)
Although driverless vehicles in the future has some disadvantages, I believe thats its advantages outweigh its drawbacs.
The main advantage is that the people travelling inside these vehicles can do multiple tasks. This is because if they are going to office they can do their office work with in the car. For instance if they were given the task to make the presentation in office work but due to some personals reasons in home they cannot work on it or some of its part is remaining then they could do it in the time in which they are travelling to office. As a result they can do better than in their office work or any kind of others tasks.
Despite these benefits, one major disadvantage is loss of drivering jobs for the drivers peoples who work as a driver in any country of the world can face big upset. This can lead to the large number of population being unemployed and also can effect the country GDP personally. However, this drawback is outweighed by main advantage.
In conclusion, although driverless future cars, buses and trucks in which only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers has certain disadvantages, i firmly believe that the advantages are more significant .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear opinion that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and you address both sides by discussing passengers’ ability to work while travelling and the possible loss of driving jobs. However, the support is limited: the work example is lengthy and hypothetical, while the employment point is asserted without explaining how widespread job losses might be or whether new roles could emerge. The conclusion repeats your position rather than adding a final insight. The response is 200 words, so it is 50 words below the required minimum; the 9 words copied from the prompt were not counted. This shortfall limits the space available to develop and support your ideas fully. Add a second developed advantage and explain the comparison more clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph on an advantage, one on a disadvantage, and a conclusion. Connectors such as “For instance,” “As a result,” and “Despite these benefits” help show relationships between ideas. However, progression within the body paragraphs is not always clear. The example about completing a presentation is long and difficult to follow, and “As a result” introduces a claim about doing better at work that has not been clearly established. The conclusion also repeats much of the introduction. To improve, divide complex explanations into shorter steps, make references explicit, and use linking phrases only when the relationship between ideas is clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “driverless vehicles,” “passengers,” “unemployed,” and “GDP,” and the reader can generally understand your main points. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors reduce precision: “drivering jobs,” “drivers peoples,” “big upset,” and “effect the country GDP” are not natural or accurate expressions. Repetition of “work” and “tasks” also makes the discussion less varied. Aim to learn topic-specific phrases in context, such as “displaced from their jobs” and “economic output,” and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain both the benefits and costs convincingly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if they were given the task,” and you use clauses to explain cause and contrast. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some passages difficult to follow. For example, “driverless vehicles … has” should use a plural verb, and “if they are going to office” needs an article. The long sentence beginning “For instance” contains several ideas joined together without clear grammatical control. Practise building accurate sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses. Also check punctuation and sentence boundaries, especially in the extended example.
