Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, people live modern life and in future technology make everything more advanced. Some peole believe that technology will replace drivers with remortes. In future all vehicals including cars, buses, and trucks will be driverless. I think it is not a good idea because sometime people can be late and the remote vehicals cannot wait anyone because it is automatic.
On the one hand, there are some advantages including people do not need to spend a lot of time on driving in busy routine and some time when we go for a long journey we become tired and exhusted that can cause accident and sometime loss life. The other advantage is that people become more puntual because buses without driver do not wait anyone.
On the other hand, there are some drawbacks of driverless vehicals. The main disadvantage is that remotes vehicals will be on time and every individual need to be on time if they are late they would miss the bus and if they late they wouldnot go to office on time tht can creat problems in their professional life. For instance, drivers can wait the passengers in stops if they lae and call the passangers. The other disadvantade is that driverless vehicals will follow only simle routes without any turn or curve so the risk of accident will be increase.
In conclusion, i think disadvantages are outweigh than advantages and it is not a good approach for local pe

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and you address both sides with relevant points about fatigue, punctuality and missed buses. However, the position is not fully consistent: the opening says driverless vehicles are “not a good idea,” while the conclusion is cut off after “not a good approach for local…”. Several ideas are also limited or unclear. For example, the claim that automated vehicles “cannot wait anyone” needs explanation, and the assertion that they will follow only simple routes is not convincingly supported. The response is also below the required 250 words. Develop each main point with a clearer explanation or example, and finish with a complete conclusion that directly answers the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted with “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the advantages and disadvantages. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and linking is repetitive or imprecise. The punctuality point appears as an advantage and then again as a disadvantage, without clearly distinguishing the two effects. In the second body paragraph, the explanation about being late, missing a bus and having problems at work runs together. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each explanation explicitly to its main point, and avoid repeating the same idea unless you show a different consequence. The unfinished final sentence also weakens the overall sense of closure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “driverless,” “passengers,” “long journey,” “risk of accident” and “professional life,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “remortes,” “vehicals,” “exhusted,” “puntual” and “disadvantade.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “wait anyone,” “busy routine” and “follow only simle routes” do not express the intended ideas accurately. Build a more precise set of transport-related expressions and check spelling carefully. Choosing natural collocations, such as “wait for passengers” and “follow a fixed route,” would make your points easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “if they are late they would miss the bus,” and you use basic connectors to organise ideas. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “in future technology make everything more advanced,” “people do not need to spend a lot of time on driving,” and “if they late they wouldnot go to office.” These show problems with verb forms, missing verbs and articles, and sentence construction. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly where clauses are joined without commas or clear separation. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a correctly formed subordinate clause before attempting longer combinations.
