Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the next years, all cars, buses and trucks will be drived without humans, and the only travellers in these carriages will be passengers. In this essay we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of driveless vehicles in detail.
Firstly, the more we get the technology development the easier it make our services, one of these advanced services is cars without driver which has many advantages. For example, it can reduce the pressure of driving in general because some people find it hard to drive in crowded streets, others find it so exhausted to drive for a long distance. One more advantage is that if any person does not know how to drive and need to travel immediately for an urgent event, driverless vehicles could help him properly.
However, I don't think theses advantages will surpass the disadvantages. Some examples of these disadvantages are that people who work as drivers will loss their work. cosequently, they will lose their income source and become workless which will have a negative impact on our society. Furthermore, driverless vehicles can be a direct reason for many accidents. For instance, if its software damaged for any reason it can make people's lifes in dangerous.
In conclusion, Technology is not always good in some fields, and regarding travelling, the most significant parameter is the safety of individuals regardeless the other benefits which may be offered by technology like less driving pressure or even if it is make travelling more comfortable.
So, i believe that driverless vehicles's advandages can't outweight its disadvantage.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and state a clear view: you do not believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, chiefly because of job losses and safety risks. The examples about people who find driving difficult and those needing urgent travel are relevant, as are the possible effects on drivers’ livelihoods and software failure. This fits the task well, although some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that driverless vehicles could cause accidents would be stronger with a brief explanation of how a software fault might lead to one. The conclusion restates your position, but could more directly weigh the benefits against the risks and explain why safety is decisive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “However,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the position remains consistent. This is stronger than a merely basic arrangement, but some linking is mechanical, and connections between ideas could be smoother. For example, “One more advantage” introduces a new point without showing how it relates to the first, while the conclusion repeats earlier points rather than synthesising them. Improve cohesion by using more precise links between claims and explanations, and ensure references such as “it” clearly identify whether you mean the vehicle or its software.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “driverless vehicles,” “income source,” “software,” and “safety.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, word-form, and spelling errors make some phrases awkward or less clear. Examples include “drived,” “driveless,” “workless,” and “people's lifes in dangerous”; these reduce precision even though the general meaning can usually be understood. Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “the more we get the technology development” and “pressure of driving.” Build accuracy by learning common collocations for technology, employment, and road safety, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if its software damaged for any reason it can make…” and a relative clause in “people who work as drivers.” This shows some range, but control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “the easier it make our services” needs subject–verb agreement, while “if its software damaged” is missing a verb form. The final sentence also has an unclear grammatical structure. Practise forming accurate conditional sentences and checking each clause for a subject and correctly formed verb; this will make your ideas easier to follow.
