Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that driverless vehicles will be beneficial, and you include relevant points such as saving money and time and reducing pollution. The family-car example also helps illustrate how one vehicle might serve several people. However, the response addresses the question only partially: it mainly lists advantages and does not explain any disadvantages or directly weigh the two sides to show why the advantages outweigh them. Some claims, such as reducing inflation and the number of vehicles, are asserted without enough explanation, and the discussion of Tesla and artificial intelligence does not clearly support your evaluation. Develop a balanced argument, then explain why one side is stronger, using specific reasoning or examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use linking expressions such as “For instance,” “In this way” and “In conclusion.” However, progression between ideas is not always clear: the paragraph about technology, artificial intelligence and Tesla shifts away from the central comparison of advantages and disadvantages. Several links, including “moreover” and “consequently,” are used mechanically, and some sentences run ideas together, making relationships harder to follow. Organise the body around distinct points, use each paragraph to develop one main idea, and make the connection between evidence and your position explicit. Clearer sentence boundaries and more precise referencing would improve flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “artificial intelligence,” “pollution,” “driverless” and “technology,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to read, for example “predection,” “vehicals,” “achivemnt” and “adventages.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “reduce fairs” and “decline inflation”; these weaken the accuracy of your argument. Aim to use a smaller set of topic-specific terms accurately, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise phrases for costs, safety and environmental effects would help you explain the benefits and drawbacks clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “if one family…” and a reason clause with “because.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “It will great achievement of technology” is missing a verb, while “it have ability” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. There are also problems with articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries, as in “one person go in office” and “Technology has changed the world many things in the past.” These errors sometimes make the intended relationships difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles and punctuation before adding more complex clauses.
