Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You take a position in favour of driverless vehicles and include both advantages and disadvantages, so the response is relevant to the question. The benefits you identify—less congestion, fewer accidents and reduced pollution—are appropriate, and you also mention emergency travel and moving furniture as drawbacks. However, the position is not consistently clear: the introduction says vehicles will be “useless,” which conflicts with your argument that driverless transport is beneficial. The examples are also difficult to follow or insufficiently explained, particularly the claim that driverless vehicles would reduce pollution and the emergency scenario. To strengthen the response, state clearly whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, then explain each main point with a realistic cause-and-effect example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable essay structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. You also use signposts such as “Firstly” and “On the other hand” to distinguish benefits from drawbacks. However, the ideas do not progress clearly within paragraphs: several points are added one after another without enough explanation, and the conclusion repeats the list rather than resolving the comparison. Some linking is repetitive or awkward, including repeated uses of “One more” and “For example.” References such as “this action” and “this reason” do not always make clear which idea they refer to. Organise each paragraph around one central claim, develop it, and use more precise links between the claim and its example.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “driverless,” “pollution,” “accident,” “emergency” and “furniture,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear. For example, “loaded vehicles” appears to mean trucks, “great vehicles” is imprecise, and “the driverless opinion” does not express the intended idea. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “trafic,” “easly,” “accedent” and “instaltant.” Build a more accurate transport vocabulary and check spelling; choose familiar, precise expressions rather than attempting phrases whose meaning is uncertain.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple sentences and longer clauses, for example, “when all the vehicles will be driverless” and the sentence beginning “when any serious persons…”. However, the longer structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “every cars,” “people uses,” “The human will travelling,” and “then it create main reason.” Some sentences also lack a clear grammatical structure, particularly the emergency example. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, including subject–verb agreement and verb forms, then add subordinate clauses. Reading each sentence aloud and checking that it has a clear subject and verb would help improve control.
