Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this era, some individuals argue that in the future all cars, buses and trucks will converted into driverless due to the only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers. I donot think the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the drawbacks. This essay aims to discuss about merits and disadvantages and I will give my opinion before conclude.
On the one hand, one merits of driverless is that donot need any skills to drive vehicles and it rely on remote control. For instance, driver havenot any stress about driving vehicles and they can be relax and calm. Second is driverless vehicles plays a crucial role in human life because they can concentrate on any thing when vehicles are run. moreover, I think it is an integral part of all human beings in their future careers.
On the contrast, there are numerous drawbacks which is very dangerous for individuals. One of them is risk of accidients. For example in the future if all vehicles are changed in driverless afterthat it impact in human life however, driverless vehicles depends on electronic remote, when there is some technical errors in remote then there should be high chance of getting accidients and probably people should be died. Another one is high chance of traffiic jams. Such as, vehicles shouldnot be operated by peoples it rely on electronic technology . Furthermore there should be heavy traffic jams which impacts on human lifes.
In my opinion, I think drawbacks of driverless vehicles outweigh the advantages. Because it is very risky option to choose driverless vehicles and we donot know when what thing will be happened in future. In the otherside there are also many advantages of using that vehicles like people donot have any stress.
In conclusion, in the future all vehicles are changed into driverless which is not good sign for drivers. I think taking heavy risk of driverless vehicles is not beneficial for humans.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall answer: you believe the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and you discuss both sides before restating this view. The risks of technical failure and traffic congestion are relevant, with the example of a remote-control error helping to explain the accident concern. However, the response only partially develops the comparison. The advantages are vague: saying passengers can relax or concentrate does not explain why these benefits matter or how they compare with the risks. The traffic-jam point is also asserted rather than supported, and the conclusion introduces little beyond the earlier opinion. Develop fewer points with clearer explanations and realistic examples, and make the weighing of advantages against disadvantages more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main position and the two sides of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some linking is mechanical or unclear. Phrases such as “On the contrast” and “Second is” do not connect ideas naturally, while “In the otherside” repeats the contrast without adding a clear relationship. The opening also promises to discuss the merits and disadvantages, but the body does not consistently develop each point. Use topic sentences that state one main idea, then explain and illustrate it; choose accurate transitions and avoid repeating the same opinion in the conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “driverless vehicles,” “technical errors,” “risk of accidents,” and “traffic jams,” so the topic is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to follow. For example, “one merits of driverless” and “changed into driverless” are not natural ways to express the ideas, and “integral part of all human beings in their future careers” is unclear in this context. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, such as “accidients,” “traffiic,” and “lifes.” Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if all vehicles are changed…”. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in phrases such as “will converted,” “it rely,” and “vehicles plays”; missing or incorrect auxiliaries also occur in “driver havenot any stress” and “people should be died.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention, particularly in the long sentence about technical errors, where several ideas run together. These problems can make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, auxiliary verbs, and conditional structures, then use shorter sentences where needed to keep each point clear.
