Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often argued that all vehicls involving cars, buses and trucks will operate driverless in future. Only individuals travelling inside the vehicles will be paseengers.I completely agree with this statement ,as there are lot of advantages of selfdriving cars in contrast to in-person vehicles because this invention will overcome the difficulty of the soceity.

To begin with, there are saveral advantages having self driving vehicles. Firstly, they will work more efficient as compared to humans containing the accurate program data which will assist them to work properly. For instance, on daily bases there are lot of accidents of vehicles and people are main reason for this .They are driving cars at high speed in which they cannot apply brake at acccurate distance however, selfdriving AI vehicles will be accurate due to correct calculation is stored. In addtion, they are fully instructed about on which actions thy have to respond.

Moreover, self driving vehicles conatins ability to obey all rules and regulation of road. At the moment, people are not following rules properly, most common issue of breaking traffic signals from which traffic congestion occurs. Meanwahile, they do not wear seat belt which is also against the road ragulation. For example, most people people break traffic signal resulting in accidents or probably issue of traffic congestion from which other individuals also have to suffer from it .Selfdriving AI vehicles will be strict to fo;;ow these rules due to which traffic issues will not create from which people may have advantage by saving time to reach at their destinations.

To conclude, although due to improved technology self-driving vehicles offers numerous benefits to society in term of reducing road accidents and improvig transportation efficiency

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You take a position in the opening, saying you “completely agree” that driverless vehicles bring advantages, and you give relevant reasons: fewer accidents and better compliance with road rules. The examples about speeding, braking, signal violations and congestion help explain these points. However, the response only partly answers the comparison in the question: it does not explain any disadvantages or clearly weigh them against the benefits. The conclusion also ends abruptly and repeats benefits without completing the comparison or summarising why they outweigh the drawbacks. To strengthen the response, state explicitly whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, develop at least one relevant drawback, and explain why the benefits remain more significant.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “Moreover,” and a concluding paragraph. The two main benefits are separated into sensible paragraphs, so the reader can follow the general direction. However, progression is weakened by repeated points about accidents and traffic problems, and some links are unclear. For example, “from which traffic congestion occurs” does not clearly show how breaking signals causes congestion, while the long sentence beginning “Selfdriving AI vehicles will be strict” contains several ideas joined together. The conclusion is incomplete, which also disrupts the overall shape. Use clearer cause-and-effect links, avoid repeating the same example, and finish with a complete summary of your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “traffic congestion,” “self-driving vehicles,” “accurate calculation,” and “road regulation,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “vehicles involving cars,” “accurate program data,” “on daily bases,” and “people are main reason.” There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “vehicls,” “paseengers,” “saveral,” and “conatins.” These errors reduce precision and make the writing less fluent. Build a bank of accurate transport and safety collocations, check spelling carefully, and prefer natural phrases such as “vehicles equipped with programmed systems” and “human error is a major cause of accidents.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use subordinate clauses, for example, “For instance, on daily bases there are lot of accidents … however…” and “Selfdriving AI vehicles will be strict … due to which…”. This shows an effort to connect ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. Examples include missing articles in “there are lot of accidents,” agreement in “vehicles contains,” and the incomplete construction “due to correct calculation is stored.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, with missing spaces after full stops and commas placed awkwardly. Practise building accurate sentences with one clear main clause and a correctly formed supporting clause, then check articles, subject–verb agreement and punctuation.
