Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the future all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless.Driverless vehicles is a controversial issue today. While some argue that the future vehicles will be driverless. The only people travelling insdide these vehicles will be passengers. I strongly believe that future vehicles will be driverless. this essay will explain why I support this perspective.
The primary reason for my opinion is the technological advancement and the enormity of Artificial Intelligence, For example, Tesla has made a self driven car and it is one of the prime example of technological advancement. If artificial intelligence will be used to its full extent and it will be friendly to not only to the human behaviour but also with the tecnology then this will overweigh the disadvantages.
Another key arguement is the usage of less labour force in order to decrease expenses and to achieve efficiency and effectiveness. In many countries, like china, UAE, USA driverless cars are used for delivery, pickup and drop. This clearly demonstrates the correlations between technology and mankind. Critics may claim some danger that will arise with the wide spread of artificial intelligence but I strongly believe that technology will not overpower the mankind in the aspect of driverless vehicles.
In my opinion, driverless car will be effective and efficient in coming future in many ways, because I have used the services of slf driven cars and they are accurate in many ways especially in accuracy of dropping and pickup and safety.
In conclusion, I firmly agree that driverless vehicles will be the future because of technological advancement and wide spread of artificial intelligence and. Although there are some critics claiming the danger with the wide spread of artificial intelligence in the aspect of driverless cars, but in my opinion the advantages driverless cars will overweigh its disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you support driverless vehicles and conclude that their advantages outweigh their disadvantages. You give relevant reasons, including technological progress, reduced labour costs, efficiency, and your experience using self-driving cars. However, the response only partly develops the comparison asked for. The discussion mostly asserts benefits, while the disadvantages are mentioned briefly as a general danger from AI and are not explained or weighed against the benefits. Some support is also unclear, such as the claim that driverless vehicles are used in several countries, without a specific example or explanation. To strengthen the response, explain a concrete risk, then show why the benefits outweigh it. The length requirement is met; 11 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two reason paragraphs, a paragraph about personal experience, and a conclusion. This makes the main position easy to identify. You also use signposts such as “The primary reason,” “Another key argument,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression is sometimes repetitive: the introduction and conclusion repeat the claim that driverless vehicles are the future, and the final paragraph repeats the AI danger without developing it. Some links are awkward or unclear, particularly “If artificial intelligence will be used to its full extent … then this will outweigh the disadvantages,” where the relationship between the conditions and the claim is difficult to follow. Organise each body paragraph around one distinct advantage or disadvantage, and use clearer references to connect examples to the point they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “technological advancement,” “artificial intelligence,” “labour force,” and “efficiency and effectiveness.” These choices show an attempt to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited by repeated wording such as “wide spread of artificial intelligence” and “driverless vehicles,” and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural. For example, “the enormity of Artificial Intelligence” does not clearly express the intended idea, while “prime example” should be pluralised in its context. Spelling errors such as “insdide,” “tecnology,” “arguement,” and “slf” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise collocations and check spelling; for instance, describe AI’s “rapid development” and refer to “a leading example.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including conditional and contrast structures. This gives the response some variety, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to read. Examples include “Driverless vehicles is,” which has subject–verb disagreement, and “If artificial intelligence will be used … then this will overweigh,” where the conditional verb forms are not controlled. The sentence beginning “While some argue that the future vehicles will be driverless” is left as a fragment, and “I strongly believe that future vehicles will be driverless. this essay…” has incorrect sentence punctuation and capitalisation. Practise forming complete sentences and checking agreement, articles, and verb forms before adding more complex clauses.
