Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is believed that in the future all types of transports will be automized the way that there will be no need for manual action from people. It means that furthermore passengers will not be able to meet drivers while the journey which makes them feel quite unaccustomed and strange. Further in the body paragraphs I will be discussing the fact if it is safe and profitable or needs overthinking. Personally, I believe that pros can outnumber cons.
The first reason I think this way is because the rate of car crushes are not statistically decreasing which means that transports conducted by human drivers are more in danger as well as travellers' lives on them. That is why we need fully automized cars for the safety of both vehicles and humanbeing. From my experince, it can be seen that, human drivers do not really care about travells' safety and soundness. I have experienced so many journeys when I thought that might be my last one and prayed that the driver would conduct the car properly and conform to the speed limits.
On the other hand, economically robotized conduction of transportation will be much profitable for the government as the number of population and vehicles are increasing year by year. Although bus or other transports' drivers' salaries do not reach the standard medium salaries, in total by paying for drivers' government loses quite bigger sum of money compared to robotized ones. In the long view, the second version benefits the country economically more.
To sum up, driverless journeys will provide both safety for travellers and profit for the country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall position: “pros can outnumber cons,” and your conclusion restates two relevant benefits—safety and economic savings. The discussion of accident risk and reduced driver costs is on topic, and the personal account gives the safety point some support. However, the task asks you to weigh advantages against disadvantages, while the essay develops advantages almost exclusively. The opening briefly mentions passengers feeling “unaccustomed and strange,” but this possible disadvantage is not explained or compared with the benefits. Some claims, such as that human drivers “do not really care” about safety and that automation will be more profitable, are broad and need qualification or evidence. Develop both sides and explain why the benefits outweigh the drawbacks more convincingly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Each body paragraph focuses on a main benefit, and signposts such as “On the other hand” and “To sum up” help readers follow the overall direction. However, “On the other hand” suggests a contrast or disadvantage, but the paragraph continues with another advantage, so the linking phrase does not accurately represent the relationship between ideas. The introduction also promises discussion of whether driverless transport is “safe and profitable or needs overthinking,” which is unclear and does not map neatly onto the body paragraphs. Improve progression by stating the two sides clearly, using transitions that match the ideas, and linking each example directly to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “manual action,” “speed limits,” “economically,” and “travellers’ safety,” and the main meaning is generally understandable. However, several inaccurate word choices and collocations make parts of the response awkward or unclear: “automized,” “car crushes,” “robotized conduction,” and “standard medium salaries.” There are also spelling errors such as “experince” and “travells’,” alongside inconsistent forms for automated transport. These issues limit precision, particularly when explaining the economic argument. Choose established expressions and check spelling and word forms; for example, use “automated vehicles,” “road accidents,” and “operating costs.” More precise vocabulary would make your reasoning sound clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including a relative clause (“which means that…”) and a concession beginning “Although…”. The overall message can be followed, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “the rate of car crushes are not statistically decreasing” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “the fact if it is safe” uses an incorrect clause pattern. In “by paying for drivers’ government loses,” the subject and possessive structure are unclear. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent. Practise building accurate clauses around one clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles and sentence boundaries before adding more complex structures.
