Student answer (Band 5.0)

All cars, buses and trucks has become an important part of society. I agree taht in the future all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers.

To begin with, There are many advantages that all the vehicles will be driverless, we can't wait for the driver longtime, driverless vehicles have less chances for accidents. Peoples can buy cars and rent it on simply there is no need of driver, no any distress for that driver is late, just provide location to the vehicle and it will take you to at exact location. These vehicles are more reliable and saffer than a vehicle with a driver. But unfortunately if these vehicle face ay issue these vehicles can't recover by self otherthing in long tours these are not reliable because how vehicles refuel. In driverless vehicles there are more security threats like someone book driverless taxi and don't know about that there is camera installed in the the vehicle and he talk smeone privately but unfortunately it recorded in camera.

Moreover, many disadvantages of driverless vehicles like these vehicles is stoled easily. In the states where crime is not controlled well. Peoples can stole the car parts easily. Driverless cars are more saffer and secured than a car with driver. Some people thought vehicles with a driver are more reliable because of there is driver in the car who can secure you from threats but no one with you in driverless car.

In conclusion, driverless vehicles in the future are more secure and reiable if ther is no crime in the state.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You address the topic and give reasons on both sides, including convenience, possible accidents, vehicle failures, privacy, and theft. However, the response does not clearly answer whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages: the conclusion says driverless vehicles are “more secure and reiable” only if crime is controlled, while the body also presents substantial concerns. Several points are asserted rather than explained—for example, how driverless vehicles reduce accidents or how theft would occur. The response is also 2 words below the required 250-word minimum; the 21 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. To strengthen the response, state your overall judgement clearly, develop the most relevant reasons with explanation or examples, and meet the minimum length.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic overall structure, with an opening, discussion of advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal stages of the response. However, progression within the body is difficult to follow: the first main paragraph moves from waiting times to accidents, renting, reliability, refuelling, and privacy without clear grouping. The second paragraph repeats the claim that driverless cars are safer after discussing theft, which makes the argument seem inconsistent. Some references, such as “these vehicles” and “it,” are not always clear. Organise each paragraph around one main idea, connect explanations explicitly, and avoid repeating or contradicting points.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “driverless,” “passengers,” “reliable,” “security threats,” and “recorded,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. Examples include “Peoples,” “saffer,” “stoled,” and “distress,” as well as the awkward phrase “rent it on simply.” Repetition of “driverless vehicles” and “more reliable” also limits variety. Build a more precise set of transport and safety terms, and check spelling and collocations. For instance, distinguish between a vehicle being “stolen” and its parts being “removed,” and use “privacy concerns” for the camera example.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts some longer sentences and uses basic connectors, but sentence structures are limited and attempts to combine several ideas often become faulty. Errors occur frequently in agreement and sentence formation: “All cars, buses and trucks has become” should use a plural verb, while “these vehicles is” also has incorrect agreement. The sentence beginning “To begin with, There are many advantages…” joins ideas without a clear grammatical structure, and “no any distress for that driver is late” is difficult to interpret. Articles, plurals, and punctuation also need attention. Practise writing clear subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time, checking agreement and sentence boundaries.
