Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the upcoming years, all transportation such as cars, buses and trucks would be driverless. The only passengers will be travelling inside these vehicles. Although there are some drawbacks of driverless vehicles, I believe that the advantages, particularly time convienet, easily to go destination and save money, outweigh them.
On the one hand, the major demerit is that conduct mishappening. This is due to the fact that if human drive car it can make break on time but automatic cars cannot make break at a time because in it these instruction do not put it and an accidents can happen. Another worth negative impact is that cyber-security. To elaborate, nowadays AI is developing so anyone can hack the software of the driverless car, can mislead the direaction of it and harm someone's life.
On the other hand, one of the major merit is that time convienet. To justify, with driverless car we do not have to wait for drivers to pickup, we only needs to book driverless vehicles and go to location which we want. Second positive impact is that easily go on destination rhis is given due to we only need to put location on driverless cars and it can easily reaches at location. Last advantage on this statement is that save money. Because normal transportion is costly some people cannot afford it, so in future people do not need to worry about fuel prices and other cost.
To conclude, even though there are several disadavantages, I believe in the positive impacts which are time convienet, easily go to destination and save money.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, and you address both sides with relevant points. The risks of accidents and hacking are balanced against convenience, easier journeys and lower costs. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully explained. For example, the claim that driverless transport will save money is linked to fuel and other costs, but it is unclear how passengers would avoid these expenses. The accident point also needs a more precise explanation of how automated systems might fail. Develop each main point with a clear cause-and-effect explanation or a specific example, and make the comparison between the benefits and risks more explicit in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for disadvantages and advantages, and a concluding statement. Sequencing phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the argument, and the main ideas are grouped appropriately. This coherent organisation is a strength. However, some links between ideas are mechanical, particularly the repeated “major demerit,” “major merit,” and “positive impact” patterns. In the accident explanation, the chain of ideas is difficult to follow, and “this statement” in the final body paragraph has an unclear reference. Use more natural transitions and connect each explanation directly to the point it supports to make progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “driverless vehicles,” “cyber-security,” “software,” and “fuel prices,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main points. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Phrases such as “time convienet,” “conduct mishappening,” “easily go on destination,” and “make break” do not express the intended meanings clearly; spelling errors such as “direaction” and “disadavantages” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common collocations for discussing transport and safety, and check spelling and word forms. More precise vocabulary would help you explain your ideas without relying on repeated labels such as “advantage” and “impact.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in the introduction (“Although there are some drawbacks…”) and explanations introduced by “because” and “if.” However, control is uneven, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles sometimes make meaning hard to follow. For example, “if human drive car it can make break on time” has problems with the subject and verb pattern, while “we only needs to book” has incorrect agreement. The sentence beginning “Because normal transportion is costly” is also a fragment, and “it can easily reaches” combines incompatible verb forms. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for articles and punctuation.
