Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the modern era, all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only passenger will be travelling inside these vehicles. I think that there are many disadvantages of driverless outweight and the reasons behind my perspective in the upcoming paragraph.

On the one hand, There are multitude negitive effects of diverless vehicles on road. Firstly when cars or buses go on highways roads there are less chance of excident but in crowed area there chances has increase. If some people go in forest area it may harm to wildlife animals. Many people may losse there jobs, unemployment face by drivers for example buses, cab and truck driver may face. secondly if computer system of vehicles is fail it crearte problem for travelers and accident occur. Some hacker may be try for hack system and these vehicles are also expencive for example tesla car is so costly everyone people can not afford that car

Futhermore, this system based on computer peolpe face any saftey issues and it effects on other simple cars. If this cars increase day by day it create more pollution. some people there financial condition is not good so they do work like drivers it effect on financial and professional .

In conclusion, i think that there are some advantages like it save times but disadvantages are more beace it has no safty and these cars are also expencive. It badly effect on environment. I believe that government should pas these car but firstly they must tested carsaftey.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall view that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and you identify relevant concerns such as job losses, system failures, hacking, cost and environmental effects. However, the task is only partially addressed: the advantages are barely considered, with only the brief point that driverless cars “save times,” and most disadvantages are listed rather than explained or supported with examples. Some claims, such as increased pollution, need a clearer link to driverless technology. The response contains 241 words, so it is 9 words below the required minimum; the 10 words copied from the prompt are not counted. To strengthen the response, develop two or three key points with explanations and a relevant example, and briefly compare them with the benefits.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “Firstly” and “In conclusion” help show the intended structure. However, the progression within the body paragraphs is not consistently clear: road safety, wildlife, employment, computer failure, hacking and cost are placed together with little explanation of how the points connect. The second body paragraph also repeats the concern about computer-based safety rather than extending the argument. Some linking is mechanical or inaccurate, and references such as “this system” and “these cars” are not always precise. Organise each paragraph around one main idea, then explain it and connect it to the question of whether the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “unemployment,” “computer system,” “hack” and “pollution,” so the reader can identify the main concerns. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, for example “negitive,” “excident,” “crowed” and “expencive.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “wildlife animals,” “financial and professional” and “simple cars.” Aim to use accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms would help you explain the effects rather than simply list them—for instance, distinguish between a vehicle’s purchase cost, cybersecurity risks and the impact on employment.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, the range of structures is limited, and errors are frequent, particularly in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “there are less chance” has an agreement problem, while “if computer system of vehicles is fail” does not form a correct conditional clause. In “Many people may losse there jobs, unemployment face by drivers,” the relationship between the ideas is unclear because the clauses are not grammatically connected. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, including “On the one hand, There” and several run-on sentences. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb before adding subordinate clauses.
