Student answer (Band 5.5)
In upcoming years, every vehicle like cars, buses and trucks will be driven without drivers. These automobiles will include only the persons who will travel by them.
I think the disadvantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the advantages because the transport system will not going to work like it use to be with the driver. When there will be a proper person who have the specific knowledge of the vehicle, then he or she will be able to handle it properly. For example, if you are travelling to some place by car and on the way there is some mechanical issue in it. Then the individual who is driving know the issue proper than the passengers. Also, if there will be no driver, then the person travelling will not feel safe during their journey. Drivers are humans who understand the emotions and feelings of the others who travel with him. So, he can easily cope with emergency conditions that occurs during the journey.
Also, they can make decisions according to need. For example, if you stuck in traffic for hours ,then he can take decision keeping in view the needs of the travellers. He can change the route and thinks for idea, so the passengers can feel easy with. The main advantage of drivers is that if you have to travel for days or week, then he can accompany you and your trip will be more effective as there will be a person to whom you can talk and share your past experiences with each other.
So, in my opinion drivers are the main need for the vehicle as well as the passengers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and your examples about mechanical problems, safety, traffic and companionship are relevant to driverless transport. However, the response mainly explains why human drivers are useful rather than weighing the advantages of driverless vehicles against those disadvantages. The advantages are only briefly acknowledged, so the comparison required by the question is incomplete. Several points also need fuller explanation: for instance, you say passengers may feel unsafe, but do not explain what specific risks driverless technology creates or how these compare with human error. Develop both sides and connect each example directly to your judgement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a concluding opinion. Ideas are generally related to the topic, and examples help the reader follow your reasoning. However, progression is limited because most of the essay repeats the benefits of having a human driver, without a distinct discussion of the opposing advantages. Linking phrases such as “Also” and “For example” are used, but the sequence of points can feel list-like. Some references are unclear, such as “they” in “Also, they can make decisions,” where the reader must infer that you mean drivers. Organise the body around clearly separated arguments for and against, and use more precise links between claims and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “mechanical issue,” “emergency conditions,” “traffic” and “passengers.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or imprecise, which makes some points less natural. For example, “the transport system will not going to work like it use to be” is difficult to interpret smoothly, while “thinks for idea” and “feel easy with” are not appropriate collocations. “The main need for the vehicle” also does not express your intended point clearly. Aim for more precise phrases for safety, decision-making and travel, and check that word combinations sound natural in English.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “if there will be no driver” and clauses beginning with “when” and “because.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “will not going to work,” “the person who have,” and “the individual who is driving know,” which show problems with verb forms and subject–verb agreement. There are also errors in tense and sentence construction, as in “if you stuck in traffic” and “So, he can easily cope with emergency conditions that occurs.” Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them, paying particular attention to agreement and consistent verb forms.
