Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall view that driverless vehicles are more beneficial, and you mention relevant points on both sides: convenience and safety for passengers, alongside job losses and technical problems. However, the reasons are only briefly stated and are not sufficiently explained or supported. For example, the claim that passengers “will not hazard any type of accidents” is too absolute, and the Dubai example does not clearly show how driverless vehicles improve safety. The conclusion repeats your position rather than weighing the arguments. The response also falls short of the required 250 words, so there is limited space to develop the ideas. Explain how each advantage or disadvantage affects people and support your claims with specific, realistic examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting advantages, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the other hand” and “To put it in a nutshell” help show the intended direction. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some links between ideas are unclear. In the advantages paragraph, safety, time-saving, and women’s experiences are introduced without being connected or explained. The conclusion also repeats the opinion and then adds another point about women, rather than bringing the discussion together. Some linking words are used mechanically or inaccurately. To improve, organise each paragraph around one main idea, explain it, and use clear references and transitions to show how the supporting details relate.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “passengers,” “technical problems,” “accidents,” and “financial issues,” so the reader can identify your main points. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “transports items,” “feel save,” “not fair for harassment,” and “in a nutshall.” Repetition of “automatic vehicles” and “beneficial” also limits precision. Aim to learn topic-specific phrases and check whether words combine naturally: for instance, describe vehicles as “driverless” or “autonomous,” and say that passengers “may be at risk of harassment” rather than using the unclear phrase in the response. Careful spelling checks would also improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to communicate a position and use some longer sentence patterns, including “When the vehicals will automatic so this trasports may be very expensive.” However, most sentences rely on simple structures, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes obscure meaning. For example, “They just sit in the vehiclesand it automatically started” shifts between present and past forms, while “one of my brothers live” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The opening also contains incomplete or poorly formed sentences, such as “Its drive automatic.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “although,” and “when.” Check that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
