Student answer (Band 6.0)
Cars, buses and trucks will be automated self drive, only passengers will be traveling in this type of vehilcles. In my opinion, benefits of driverless vehicles are more compared to their disadvantages.
One only drawback of autonomous vehicles is their inability to make alternative decisions when it suffers machine error or virus attack. This type of vehicles are built with codes, and machine language, which is what directs their decision making. If there is a cyber attack, or and error code to the system of the vehicle, and it can't clear or correct this immediately, it becomes a threat to the passenger onboard, as it may not be able to detect objects on the road, slow down at conjested traffic points, or even make a turn at the right place. This can lead to accidents, death or loss of peoperties on the road.
However, the benefits are more compelling. To begin, driverless vehicles are more beneficial to disable and to individuals without a drivers license. Using voice commands, the above mentioned will get to their destinations on time without having to wait for an uber or a friend to drive them around. Traffic rules and regulation are meant to prevent accidents and protect road users, i believe that self drive vehicles will adhere to this laws and avoid distraction, for example making use of the phone while driving, drinking or eating while on the wheels, use of one hand and watching videos on the display screen while driving, which will reduce road accidents and increase road safety.
In conclusion, as far as i am concerened, the benfits of driverless vehicles overshadow the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. You address both sides, with a relevant risk involving cyberattacks and system errors, and advantages for people with disabilities or without a driving licence. The examples of distraction and rule-following also support your view. This meets the task well, but the development is uneven: the technical danger is explained in detail, while the accessibility benefit is asserted rather than illustrated, and the claim that automated vehicles will obey traffic laws needs qualification or support. To strengthen the response further, explain how these benefits affect safety or independence and acknowledge conditions such as reliable technology and oversight.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on disadvantages, a paragraph on advantages, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “However,” “To begin,” and “In conclusion” make the direction of the argument easy to follow. Within paragraphs, however, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, the long sentence beginning “If there is a cyber attack” strings together several possible failures, while “the above mentioned” refers back to people with disabilities and those without licences in an awkward way. The list of driving distractions also interrupts the explanation of rule-following. Use clearer referencing and divide complex sequences into shorter, logically linked sentences; this would make progression more fluent.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “autonomous vehicles,” “cyber attack,” “voice commands,” and “road safety,” and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “machine error” and “decision making,” though some combinations are imprecise or unnatural: “automated self drive,” “error code to the system,” and “slow down at conjested traffic points.” Spelling errors such as “vehilcles,” “peoperties,” “concerened,” and “benfits” reduce accuracy, while repeated use of “vehicles” and “driverless” limits variety. Aim for precise collocations and proofread spelling; for instance, describe a system malfunction and say that a vehicle slows in heavy traffic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If there is a cyber attack…” and a relative clause in “which is what directs their decision making.” These allow you to explain causes and consequences, and the main message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors nevertheless recur. In “This type of vehicles are built,” the demonstrative and verb do not agree with the plural noun; “when it suffers machine error” has an unclear subject, and “adhere to this laws” has a determiner–noun mismatch. There are also missing or incorrect articles and possessives in phrases such as “without a drivers license.” Review agreement, articles, and possessive forms, and break up the longest sentences to maintain control while using complex structures.
