Student answer (Band 5.5)

All vehicles including cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. These vehicles used only be passengers. It has several advantages such as fewer road accident and convenience, I will discuss both advantage and disadvantage in this essay.

On the one hand, there are numerous disadvantages behind the driverless car. One of the radical negative side is that employee loses their job. Many low-income families citizens have they can drive several vehicles such as buses, cars and trucks. If these vehicles will shift driverless vehicls they may fece difficulties. they may unable to earn a large amount of money. As a result, they can not admit their children any better institution as well as unable to take healthy food in daily lives. Another disadvantage is technical problems. Driverless vehicles generally controll by differnt electronic tools. If these tools shows technical issues; additionally, accidents on the road are increasing day by day.

On the other hand, driverless vehicls also have several adventages like fewer road accident. Without the driver, drives the cars are often safty, because it gives chance to reduce accident on the highway street. For example, when individuals can drive cars or trucks, they often makes mistake; thus, unaware driving occured dengerous incidence on the road. In addition, travelling driverless vehicles are often convenience.Because when people traveling on the buses, they can reading books and feel relaxing during the journey times.

In conclusion, even though driverless vehicles have some disadvantages like drivers lose jobs and technical isses, in contend that it has advantages such as less road accident and convenience. so I believe the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh of drawback.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and give a clear view in the conclusion: you believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Relevant points include job losses, technical problems, fewer accidents and greater convenience, with an example of passengers reading on buses. However, some ideas are less fully explained than others. The effects of job losses on families are described, but the technical-problem point is unclear: “additionally, accidents on the road are increasing day by day” does not explain how a fault in driverless technology causes this. The safety benefit also needs more precise support than the general claim that human drivers make mistakes. Develop each main point with a clear explanation or specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for disadvantages and advantages, and a conclusion. The contrastive signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion, and the conclusion returns to your position. Some connections are less clear or mechanical, however. For example, “If these vehicles will shift driverless” is difficult to follow, and the semicolon followed by “additionally” does not create a clear link between technical faults and accidents. The introduction also promises to discuss both sides without previewing your position, which only becomes explicit at the end. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and ensure each sentence connects logically to the point before it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “driverless vehicles,” “technical problems,” “low-income families,” and “convenience.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “unaware driving” and “technical issues,” but several inaccurate word choices, collocations and spelling errors make parts of the response difficult to understand. Examples include “employee loses their job,” “vehicles will shift driverless,” “adventages,” and “dengerous incidence.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “fewer road accident” and “healthy food in daily lives.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and using natural combinations such as “lose their jobs,” “switch to driverless technology,” and “road accidents.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including conditional and cause-and-effect forms: “If these vehicles will shift driverless…” and “As a result, they can not admit their children…” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas, but some sentence structures and verb forms are inaccurate, and these errors sometimes make meaning unclear. For example, “These vehicles used only be passengers” does not form a complete, accurate sentence, while “when individuals can drive… they often makes mistake” has problems with agreement and number. Punctuation and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “convenience.Because” and the run-on opening sentence. Practise accurate clauses and verb agreement, then proofread for complete sentences and punctuation.
