Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays some individuals behave in an anti-society way, such as committing a crime. In general, it is the society to blame. What causes the anti-social behaviours of individuals? Who should be responsible for dealing with it?
In the contemporary world, many people tend to practice notorious activities, such as getting involved with criminal activities. This essay will elaborate on the possible reasons behind this tendency and discuss about who should take an accountability to rectify this issue.
Multiple drivers catalyze this trend. The prominent one is the global rise of financial inequality in the society across many underdeveloped countries. The economic difference between rich and poor has surged dramatically over the time, making lower-middle class individuals to suffer to meet their essential needs. Another major aspect is the lack of government efforts to provide better quality of life to citizens in various nations across the world. In fact, the issue of unemployment has escalated exponentionally over the time even in developed countries. These phenomena metaphorically make several individuals compelled to engage with criminal activities such as robbery and theft in order to fulfil their essential needs.
Additionally, unless the government takes an accountability to recognise and address this crisis, it cannot be ressolved. The primary reasons for that is that government authorities of global economies have ability to ressolve this problem on mass scale, such as introducing an amendment in laws with strict actions again culprits and economic support for indegent citizens.
To conclude, even though the involvement of som people in criminal activities is becoming an increasingly common trend, thorough involvement by the government bodies in order to reduce these activities is of paramount importance.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response is completely off-topic. The prompt asks about the ethics and implications of paying others to perform household chores or childcare. However, your essay discusses the causes of criminal behavior and the role of government in addressing social inequality. Because you have not addressed the specific task instructions at all, the response fails to meet the requirements of the prompt. In an actual IELTS examination, this would result in a very low score for Task Achievement as the content is irrelevant to the question provided.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'In fact', and 'To conclude' to link ideas. While the internal structure of the essay is coherent, the lack of relevance to the prompt means the progression of ideas does not address the task. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the flow between sentences is generally smooth, which prevents a lower score despite the content being entirely unrelated to the set question.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a reasonable range of vocabulary, including terms like 'catalyze', 'prominent', 'exponentionally' (spelling error), and 'paramount'. There are some minor errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'indegent' instead of 'indigent' and 'ressolved' instead of 'resolved'. However, the vocabulary is generally sufficient to express your ideas clearly. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring accurate spelling of academic vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'take an accountability' (should be 'take accountability'), 'in the society' (should be 'in society'), and 'making lower-middle class individuals to suffer' (should be 'making... suffer'). While these errors are frequent, they do not generally impede the reader's understanding of your intended meaning. You have attempted complex structures, but they often contain minor inaccuracies in preposition usage or verb patterns.
