Student answer (Band 6.5)
Hiring someone who helps a person to manage their responsibilities such as cleaning house or babysitting. When people do not have time and willingness to perform these tasks themselves. It provides employment to individuals who does not have formal education.
To begin with, people nowadays, due to their busy schedules get less to no time for household chores. These people often needs someone who can clean, cook, and shop for them. Paying someone to work for you is a best option for working individuals that way they can get time to relax while other person get employment, which is beneficial for both the parties. However, people should respect domestic workers and babysitters who are working for the betterment of their employers' life. For example, working parents can hire a babysitter or a domestic worker to help them with their daily tasks. This settlement will provide livelihood to a person with no education and also help parents to keep working. As a result both parties will be benefitted.
Moreover, not all the tasks should be outsourced people should do all the basic chores and spare some time for their children. For example, people can hire a babysitter but they should make sure to teach their children good habits, play with them, and listen to their concerns this will improve the bond between parents and children. Furthermore, by performing all the tasks by themselves people also get to know about the importance of domestic workers and they may start giving them respect.
In a nutshell, although it is a best way to provide employment to underprivileged individuals, people should also focus on doing basic task by themselves and should not outsource their family responsibility.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing employment and the necessity of performing tasks oneself. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that hiring helps those without education, this point could be expanded with more specific examples or deeper analysis of the socio-economic impact. Similarly, the argument regarding performing tasks oneself is relevant but remains at a surface level. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more thorough exploration of the 'why' and 'how' behind your arguments rather than just stating them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear central theme. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'In a nutshell' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly abrupt. For instance, the jump from discussing employment to the importance of respecting workers could be smoother. Additionally, the use of referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the opening sentence, which is a fragment rather than a complete sentence. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each sentence connects logically to the next will enhance the overall cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task and allows for clear communication. You demonstrate an ability to use topic-specific terms like 'domestic workers', 'outsourced', and 'livelihood'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is some repetition of basic words like 'people' and 'tasks'. There are also minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'this settlement will provide' (where 'arrangement' would be more natural) and 'best option' (which should be 'a good option' or 'the best option'). To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and collocations to express your ideas with greater sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. For example, the first paragraph is a sentence fragment ('Hiring someone...'). There are also subject-verb agreement issues, such as 'individuals who does not have' (should be 'do not have') and 'people... often needs' (should be 'need'). While these errors do not impede overall communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To achieve a higher band, focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and a finite verb.
