Student answer (Band 7.0)

In the contemporary era, individuals are hiring for daily routine tasks such as cleaning or taking care of infants, not frequently though. I support this approach to some extent as assistance is needed during crucial events or in a hectic schedule of life. However, totally relying on it leads to sedentary lifestyles.

The first and foremost reason is the importance of time where family require support from experts. Although these experts do not have a defined degree, they carry valuable experience and amazing skills that uphold the situation to next level. To illustrate, there is always need of a nanny for a new parent who handle a newborn and provide suggestions. Moreover, it is extremely difficult for working professionals to involve in everyday tasks as it might not worthy for them to involve in the hours which are able to provide extra cushion of money in their life. In this case, servants offer great service of daily meals and keep the house neat and clean.

On the other hand, human mind look for comfort which is given by the assistance in any form mentally or physically. In other words, sometimes unnecessary support develop lethargic behavior in a human body. Therefore, various health issues are can be adopted by individuals, unknowingly. An empirical evidence presented by one of the prominent news channel of India that the Indian ladies are at second position globally in the obesity level due to fact the servants are available at is cheap price.

In conclusion, in-depth knowledge and ample of experience support in a certain situations of a human life, if it is use as help not for personal pleasure that might become a health issue in a longer run.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefit of providing work and the personal necessity of performing tasks oneself. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding the economic benefit is well-supported with the example of working professionals, but the second point regarding health issues relies on a somewhat anecdotal and generalized claim about obesity in India. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced reasoning for why people 'should' do things themselves, perhaps focusing on personal growth or family bonding, rather than just the negative health consequences of inactivity.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'The first and foremost reason', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand' are used effectively to guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical, and some transitions feel a bit forced. Referencing is generally clear, though some sentences, such as 'various health issues are can be adopted', lack smooth integration with the preceding thought. Overall, the progression of ideas is easy to follow, and paragraphing is used appropriately.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to discuss the topic with some precision, using terms like 'contemporary era', 'sedentary lifestyles', and 'empirical evidence'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'uphold the situation to next level', 'might not worthy', and 'are can be adopted'. These errors occasionally draw attention to the language, though they do not impede communication. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that the words you choose fit the formal tone of an IELTS essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms and articles (e.g., 'family require support', 'there is always need of a nanny', 'are can be adopted', and 'if it is use as help'). These errors are noticeable but rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning. To achieve a higher band, you need to improve your control over subject-verb agreement and passive voice constructions, as these are currently the most frequent sources of error.
