Student answer (Band 6.5)
Its often feasible for individuals to do jobs or house chores that you cant do because of limited time , while others feel this is a way of generating jobs for other people , others feel its better to do these activities by oneself .This essay will discuss both views although I believe doing either can be positive.
To begin, with people working long l
hours especially married couples, they would want to get help especially when they can afford because because it lessen the stress and takes off extra responsibility from their backs. For example celebrities and those that work high time demanding jobs rarely have enough time for them self so employing a housekeeper or a nanny to watch their children help to feel that they are not neglecting basic hygiene and ensuring their kids are safe and well looked after even if they themselves are physically present with them.
On the other hand , people feel you should be responsible for your own house and children , paying staff to keep the house and watch over the kids because you cam afford it feels its too privileged. Furthermore, these can be lead to a sense of entitlement and children who grow up in such environment would live without knowing how to do such basic daily activities and would forever rely on their employees for such basic work.
To conclude paying for a person to do your house chores comes can be a good way of providing employment for others , while people can do these things themselves. I would believe its better to do what works for you as there is no wrong or right as long as its ethical done.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the argument for personal responsibility. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the point about children growing up with a sense of entitlement is a strong argument, but it is not fully explored or linked back to the broader societal implications. The position is clear, but the conclusion is slightly repetitive and lacks a strong final synthesis. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced examples and ensure that each paragraph fully explores the implications of the arguments presented rather than just stating them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin', 'For example', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore'. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, though there are minor issues with sentence flow, such as the awkward phrasing in the introduction and the conclusion. The progression of ideas is logical, but the connection between the two main body paragraphs could be smoother to create a more cohesive argument. Overall, the structure is sufficient to guide the reader through your points effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'feasible', 'entitlement', and 'demanding'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'ethical done' instead of 'ethically done' and 'high time demanding jobs' instead of 'highly demanding jobs'. Some phrasing is also slightly unnatural, such as 'takes off extra responsibility from their backs'. While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the response from reaching a higher band. Expanding your range of collocations and focusing on more precise academic vocabulary would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, including punctuation issues (e.g., missing spaces after commas), subject-verb agreement errors ('these can be lead'), and repetitive words ('because because'). Some sentences are slightly disjointed, such as the opening sentence which lacks proper punctuation. While you attempt complex structures, the control is inconsistent, leading to errors that occasionally distract the reader. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic errors like missing articles, verb forms, and punctuation, and try to vary your sentence structure with more complex, error-free clauses.
