Student answer (Band 7.0)
Sometimes people are likely to pay for household chores or hire a nanny for their children because they do not have time or do not want to do. Yes, it is a best intative to provide work to someone with financial problems, it really depends on the situation wheather or not they should do these things on their own.
Providing someone with work is a generous decision because it can help the person in manage their expenses. In other words, if a person is well-established and can pay for household chores, it can be helpful to the needy person to find a job and earn some money. As job market is highly competitive, it is extremely difficult to find a job even at a junior level. For example, in metro cities, people who are less educated or have no qualifications suffer from depression due to financial reasons. Therefore, providing them with work is a good way to help them financially.
People can do some of these things on their own, but it mostly depends upon their circumstances. As many working professionals have no time to cook food for themselves or their families, they can hire somebody to help in the kitchen. However, there are kinds of work that people should do on their own, such as looking after their child. In todays' society, it is quite difficult to find trustworthy people to take care of children, and it is the only time when parents can build strong relationship with their children. Thus, it really depends on the type of work.
To conclude, people can assist others financially by hiring them to do tasks that they do not feel like doing or have no time to perform any household chores. In my opinion, this is a good idea to provide a job to someone. Individuals' circumstances matter if they should do these things on their own.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the question of whether people should perform these tasks themselves. The position is clear throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as the economic benefit for the needy and the importance of parental bonding. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the argument about hiring help for cooking could be expanded with more specific examples or deeper analysis. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main points, though it repeats the prompt's language slightly. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The essay is logically organized into four paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Ideas progress logically from the economic benefits of hiring help to the personal considerations of doing tasks oneself. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In other words,' 'Therefore,' and 'However,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally slightly repetitive. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, contributing to the overall coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. The student uses some topic-specific terms like 'well-established,' 'highly competitive,' and 'trustworthy.' There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'best intative' (initiative) and 'in manage their expenses' (in managing their expenses). While the range is sufficient to convey meaning clearly, it lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher bands. The spelling errors, such as 'wheather' and 'todays',' are minor but noticeable. Expanding the range of collocations would improve the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'do not have time or do not want to do' (missing object), 'help the person in manage' (incorrect verb form), and 'As job market' (missing article). Punctuation is generally functional, though there are minor errors like the apostrophe in 'todays''. Despite these errors, the meaning is always clear, and the mistakes do not impede communication. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles.
