Student answer (Band 6.5)
In this significantly growing modern world, parents not having enough time to look after their children is a debatable question. However most of the people in the corporate world who run behind the clock and work doesn't have enough time to do household chores too.In the essay I will give both the pros and cons of having some one take care of your lifestyle.
Mostly in cities with both men and women working families either have an elder taking care of children and house chores or a nanny. It is good to provide work for others on one side however this affects the bond between parents and children. And you never know what is in one’s mind. For example a study on children psychology suggests 50% of children are close to their nanny’s rather than their own parents.
In other words balancing personal life with work helps a person to grow as a family. After all the stress at work, sitting for hours coming home and doing chores is considered as an exercise where your muscles not only relax but also helps from obesity problem. However work should be shared between both men and women equally which will show an impact the children from which they can learn how to balance the work and personal life when they grow up.For example In an interview conducted in May 2012 most of the people agreed upon saying people who balance both work and personal life tends to live longer due to the bonds and affection in the family which doesn’t make them feel low due to the pressure of the work.
In conclusion I would agree with the point of balancing both professional and personal life rather than keeping it in others hands will lead to a happy life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The essay addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the economic benefits of providing work and the personal implications of outsourcing household tasks. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the point about children's psychology is mentioned but not fully explored, and the argument regarding physical exercise is a bit simplistic. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments could be more robust and better linked to the prompt's core questions. To improve, ensure each paragraph provides a deeper analysis rather than just stating a point.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow between sentences is occasionally disjointed. Some transitions are mechanical, such as 'In other words' or 'In conclusion', which do not always accurately reflect the relationship between the ideas. Referencing is sometimes unclear, for example, the phrase 'this affects the bond' follows a sentence about providing work, making the connection slightly ambiguous. Improving the use of cohesive devices to link ideas more fluidly would enhance the overall structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are some awkward collocations, such as 'run behind the clock' and 'keeping it in others hands'. The range is somewhat limited, relying on basic phrasing to express complex ideas. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to employment, work-life balance, and family dynamics, while ensuring that word choices are natural and accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('people... tends to live longer') and missing articles or incorrect prepositions ('impact the children', 'in other’s hands'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and sentence structure will help improve this score.
