Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, people’s schedules are getting busier, they’re looking for someone to do their daily tasks like cleaning their house or looking after their children. This essay will discuss the benefits of delegating duties for others, and whether people should do these things themselves or not.
First and foremost, when individuals are hiring workers to help them finish their daily tasks on behalf of themselves, they create opportunities for others. In other words, it helps them to pay their bills and they can consider this job as a source of income. According to a study, the number of employees who work in cleaning services and nurseries have increased by twenty per cent due to the high demand from the public to do their routine tasks.
Secondly, the question of people should do these duties by themselves or not is a matter of debate. I believe that they can hire someone but only to some extent. For example, taking care of children should be the responsibility of parents because the child needs emotional support from his family not from the employees.
According to a recent journal is shown that kids are more likely to have emotional issues when nurses take care of them the whole time.
Another example, senior residents may need to hire people to do their household chores since they don’t have the ability to finish their daily routine duties.
In conclusion, hiring workers to do their daily work provides some advantages but it should be reserved for certain tasks to prevent major consequences for children.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefit of providing work and the personal responsibility of performing tasks. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding economic benefits is clear, but the discussion on personal responsibility is brief. The example regarding children is relevant, but the point about senior residents is introduced abruptly without sufficient connection to the main argument. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your reasoning by explaining the 'why' behind your opinions more thoroughly. For instance, you could elaborate on the long-term societal impacts of outsourcing childcare versus the necessity of assistance for the elderly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'In other words', and 'Secondly' to guide the reader. However, the transition between the paragraph about children and the paragraph about senior residents is weak; they feel like isolated points rather than a cohesive argument. Additionally, some referencing is slightly mechanical. To improve, try to use more sophisticated linking words and ensure that each paragraph flows naturally into the next by using thematic transitions rather than just simple sequence markers.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'delegating duties', 'source of income', and 'routine tasks'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are occasional inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'on behalf of themselves' (which is slightly unnatural in this context) and 'nurses' (when 'nannies' or 'childcare providers' might be more accurate). To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and less common lexical items to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text. For example, 'the question of people should do these duties' is grammatically incorrect; it should be 'the question of whether people should do these duties'. Additionally, 'According to a recent journal is shown that' is a fragmented structure. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of subordinate clauses. Proofreading for these types of structural errors will help you achieve a higher score.
