Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response is significantly under-length, containing only 111 words against the required 250-word minimum. Furthermore, the content is completely off-topic. The prompt asks about the ethics and implications of paying others to perform household chores or childcare, whereas your essay discusses the taxation of fast food. Because the response fails to address the task prompt entirely and does not meet the length requirement, it cannot be assessed as a successful attempt at the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is too short to demonstrate a coherent structure or the effective use of cohesive devices. While there is an attempt at an introduction, the text cuts off abruptly after only two paragraphs. There is no logical progression of ideas because the essay is incomplete and fails to engage with the actual topic provided in the instructions.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is basic and contains several spelling errors, such as 'ruslted' instead of 'resulted' and 'counsciously' instead of 'consciously'. The range of vocabulary is limited, and the phrasing is repetitive. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of development and the presence of errors prevent a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The text contains several grammatical errors, such as 'increasing number of people' (missing 'an'), 'government should' (missing 'the'), and 'in this kind of food' (should be 'on'). The sentence structures are simple and repetitive. Due to the very limited amount of writing, it is difficult to assess a full range of grammatical structures, but the existing sentences show frequent errors in articles and prepositions.
