Student answer (Band 6.5)

It is most debatable topic that people should appoint someone to do their household works. Some people think that it is a best method to create an employment opportunities for other needy people. Personally, i am not thinking in the same manner. I will give the important reasons behind this idea in the upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, to main the good equality between all the people , it is important that government should raise employment opportunities for the unemployed and poor people. In effect, it will not only sort the economic crisis of the country and also make there will be no discrimination in the society. Hence, people will do their work by oneself and will learn to maintain the balance between private and professional life. Moreover, by doing household chores by ourselves, one can learn the sentiment of responsibility and it will also improve their health. For example, by doing mopping and brooming at home, we could increase the flexibility and it is considered a good exercice.

On the other side, if the person is too busy in his work schedule, then he can divide the duties with the other family members so that, one cannot suffer with all sorts of work and household chores. Furthermore, raising children under your own surveillance is an excellent step to build their personality with optimism.

To conclude, doing the household chores by itself is the best solution to maintain the good health and to decrease the discrimination between the person of different communities. Public bodies like government should take the necessary steps to resolve the issue of giving employment to all needy people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, though the development is somewhat uneven. You clearly state your position against hiring help, focusing on personal responsibility and health benefits. However, the argument regarding government intervention to create jobs feels slightly tangential to the core question of whether hiring help is a 'good way' of providing work. While you provide reasons, some points, such as the link between household chores and societal discrimination, are not fully explored or logically connected. To improve, ensure each paragraph directly supports your main argument with more focused examples and clearer logical links to the prompt's specific questions.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other side' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the transition 'In effect' used to introduce a point about government policy. Additionally, some sentences lack smooth flow, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'one cannot suffer with all sorts of work', which is slightly awkward. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help your ideas progress more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'employment opportunities', 'surveillance', and 'optimism'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'maintain the good equality', 'sort the economic crisis', and 'doing mopping and brooming'. These errors do not prevent understanding, but they do limit the sophistication of your writing. To reach a higher band, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary rather than relying on literal translations or slightly incorrect phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include article misuse ('the best method', 'the important reasons'), subject-verb agreement, and awkward phrasing ('by doing mopping and brooming', 'by oneself'). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede communication. To improve, pay closer attention to basic grammar rules, particularly the use of articles and prepositions. Additionally, try to refine your complex sentences to ensure they are grammatically sound, as some current attempts at complex structures are slightly faulty.
