Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, the majority of the people like to keep servants for completing their household work as they do not want to do and due their job they do not have time. There are multifarious reasons which will be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs.

To commence with, there are various reasons behind this trend. First and foremost is that hectic schedule. To explain it, nowadays many people have their hectic schedule they do not have enough time to complete their household work especially now women are working than past. This is the main reason they do not have enough time to complete their household chores. Thus, its very common to keep caretaker to their children because with the help of they can notonly earn money butalso they can give proper facilities to their childrens.

Another reason is that many people have good money they feel tired and lasy thus, they do not want to complete their work by themselves they give money to people who need money for completing their work.

However, according to my own opinion people should complete their house work by own because when they complete by themselves with the help they can become fit and relief their obesity problems which is very beneficial for them. For instance, when they do these households work then they can save money and become healthier person in their life. According to one survey which government collected in 2020 many people who do household work such as washing, cleaning and cooking they do not have obesity problem and they more energetic than individuals who do not complete their work by own.

To conclude, although many working people do not have enough time to complete their household works yet if they maintain balance between their work and house they can save money and relief their stress which is good for their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: whether it is a good way to provide work and whether people should do chores themselves. However, the development is somewhat limited. The argument regarding providing work is brief and lacks depth, focusing mostly on the convenience for the employer rather than the socio-economic impact of domestic employment. The second part, regarding doing chores oneself, is better supported with the health-related argument, though the example of a 'government survey' is vague. To improve, you should expand on the economic benefits for the employees and provide more nuanced reasoning for why individuals might choose to outsource these tasks despite the health benefits.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'To commence with', 'First and foremost', and 'However'. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'To explain it' or 'Thus, its very common'. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear; for example, in the second paragraph, the phrase 'with the help of they can' is grammatically incomplete and disrupts the flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'good money', 'lasy', and 'do their work'. There are also some spelling errors, such as 'lasy' (lazy) and 'childrens' (children). While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'multifarious' and 'hectic schedule', the overall range is somewhat limited. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing, ensuring that word choices are accurate and contextually appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'majority of the people like'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'do not complete their work by own'). The sentence 'with the help of they can notonly earn money butalso they can give proper facilities' is structurally flawed. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for small grammatical slips will be beneficial.
