Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, though the development of ideas is somewhat limited. You clearly state your position that people should perform these tasks themselves, particularly regarding childcare. However, the argument regarding 'providing work for others' is under-developed; you dismiss it as 'not a beneficial method' without fully exploring the economic or social implications of outsourcing labor. The points about moral values and physical health are relevant, but the explanation remains somewhat repetitive. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with more nuanced reasoning or specific, illustrative examples that go beyond general statements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'To sum up' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences lack smooth connectivity. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You attempt to use some less common vocabulary, such as 'explicated', 'upbringing', and 'remedy'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'running after materialistic things', 'crate jobs', and 'indulge yourself physically in lot of activities'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your argument. To improve, focus on learning collocations and using words in their correct context rather than relying on direct translations or slightly unnatural phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'things that makes their schedule'), missing articles (e.g., 'in coming paragraphs'), and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'if someone other doing your day to day things'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, they are frequent enough to affect the flow of the writing. To achieve a higher score, focus on proofreading for basic errors like pluralization and verb tense consistency, and practice using more complex structures with greater accuracy.
