Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefit of providing work and the personal question of whether people should perform these tasks themselves. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the benefits for workers in Mumbai, the argument regarding whether people 'should' do these things themselves is less developed, focusing primarily on the convenience for the employer rather than a balanced discussion of the potential downsides (e.g., loss of family bonding or life skills). To reach a higher band, ensure that both sides of the prompt are explored with equal depth and more specific, nuanced reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is slightly unclear, such as in the final paragraph where 'regardless owners are doing the house chores' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the logical progression. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'recoup', 'offsprings', and 'emotional support'. However, there are several instances of inaccurate word choice and collocation, such as 'raise a living standards' (should be 'raise living standards') and 'providing them a care' (should be 'providing them with care'). Additionally, there are minor spelling errors like 'famalies', 'proivde', and 'peacful'. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for common phrases and proofreading for basic spelling errors, which will allow you to express your ideas with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow, such as 'this trend is creating a jobs' (should be 'this trend is creating jobs') and 'not only does more jobs are in the markets' (should be 'not only are more jobs available'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. To achieve a higher band, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and reducing the frequency of errors in pluralization and verb forms, which will make your writing more accurate and professional.
