IELTS Writing Task 2 question

It is sometimes possible to pay somebody to do things you don't want to do, or don't have time to do, for example, household chores or looking after children.

Is this a good way of providing work for others?

Should people do these things themselves?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

Digital devices also take the place to textbooks these days. Some individuals believe that textbooks should be replaced by digital equipments in the schools. I think this is a positive development.

The first reason behind this change is technology, majority of sectors are effected by the influence of technology. Schools may also introduce laptops or tablets during classes to follow the new era of digitalization. For intance, using these devices will reduce the wastage of paper and less burden on environment due to advancement in the modern world. Thus, these electric devices assist students to get to know about technology and save paper in their childhood.

Another reason could be more practical way of teaching and learning, by the introduction of technological gadgets it seems that teachers can explain the things through 3D pictures with real view. For example, Chemistry is one of the subjects which students find it difficult to understand, when they will start watching videos of particular topics of this subject, they may get more clarity about the theory of these topics. Therefore, it helps to explain complicated questions in a simple way.

I believe that these digital devices may be helpful for student, while using those in the classroom, and it will improve their typing skills which will help them in the future for their jobs. Also, it enhances hand-eye coordination when they will start using laptops in their classrooms.

In conclusion, digital gadgets can take the place of textbooks in school have a positive impact on students to improve their ability to comfortable with these devices. It will help them in their future.
