Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the impact on employment and the personal value of performing tasks oneself. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the employment argument is supported by a relevant example regarding healthcare in Canada, the discussion on personal benefits is slightly repetitive, focusing heavily on physical fitness. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the psychological or social benefits of performing household tasks, such as the sense of accomplishment or the development of life skills, rather than focusing primarily on physical movement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence', 'Another reason is', and 'On the other hand', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'In addition to this, certified caretakers are more precisely train to their duties'. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences feel disjointed due to punctuation errors. Improving the flow between sentences within paragraphs would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'contemporary era', 'ameliorates', and 'nurtured'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'as an paid duties', 'fostered to assign the dutiles', and 'in the shape as their parents want'. These errors occasionally impede the precision of your argument. To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for common phrases and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate rather than just using complex-sounding words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity, such as 'have been being hired', 'it is considerably needs to be done', and 'one can also encouraged'. Subject-verb agreement and passive voice constructions are inconsistent. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic verb tense consistency and ensuring that your complex sentence structures are grammatically sound.
