Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, people are able to hire someone to complete their tasks such as household chores or taking care of children. I believe that it is not a good trend of hiring people for work. This essay will discuss the reasons why it is not good.
The main reason why people should give household work to other people is improvement focus on their work. When individuals hire someone to do dishwashing and sweeping home, they can more concentrate on their work without worry about not importance house related work. Another reason to be consider is that unemployed people who is looking for job can have a job to overcome their expenses especially students. They do not have to rely on their parent's money. For example, I am living with a family and I take care of their children when they are not home. That way, I earn some extra money and full-fill my hobby.
People should do household chores or parenting by own to ensure about safety and cleanliness. The prime reason is that children upbring is really important. Every child needs parents emotional support when they are young. Moreover, work-life balance should be maintained for better future of children. For example, it is seen that those parents are working all 7 days have children who has lack of manners in public and social skills. Another point is they should complete all house work to make sure everything is clean properly. For instance, if you hire someone who left garbage in corner which lead to bacterial growth, your family may survive health related issues.
In conclusion, although hiring people for doing your work is relaxing, they should spend some time in doing their own works as it gives satisfaction.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the impact on employment and the personal responsibility of household/childcare tasks. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While you provide reasons for hiring help, the argument in the second paragraph is slightly contradictory, as it initially supports hiring help before shifting to the benefits of doing it yourself. The position is clear, but the supporting examples, such as the mention of 'bacterial growth' or 'lack of manners', are a bit simplistic and could be more effectively expanded to reach a higher band. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a singular, well-developed focus that directly supports your thesis statement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'The main reason', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to link sentences. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Another reason to be consider is that'. Additionally, the transition between the benefits of hiring help and the necessity of doing chores yourself is abrupt. Improving the flow between paragraphs and using a wider variety of linking words would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'household chores', 'work-life balance', and 'unemployed'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'full-fill my hobby' (instead of 'pursue my hobby') and 'survive health related issues' (instead of 'suffer from health issues'). The range is somewhat limited, and you rely on basic phrasing. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations to convey your arguments with greater nuance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('unemployed people who is looking', 'children who has lack of manners') and awkward phrasing ('do not have to rely on their parent's money' should be 'parents' money'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are minor errors in article usage and preposition choice. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly subject-verb agreement and pluralisation, and attempt to vary your sentence structures with more complex clauses.
