Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is often preferable to hire an individual to delegate your personal work that either you don't want to do or you are too busy to do. Looking after kids or doing household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and laundry are few of the examples. In the following paragraphs, we will discuss whether this is an ideal way to provide an employment or not and simaltaneously we will also discuss the possibility of people doing these things by themselves.

To begin with, I personally think providing work like household chores helps decrease the amount of unemployment in the society. For example, there is a big chunk of people who are unemployed not because of the fact that they don't want to work, but because of the fact that they are not educated enough. So, by providing them with this type of work, which typically doesn't require high level of qualification, we are helping them becoming financially independent. Additionally, It also assists people who has busy schedule and doesn't have time to do chores like Doctors and Businessmen.

It's always a good Idea to do your personal work by youeself as it keeps you busy and active throughout the day but at the same it's not the best idea for individuals from across all the occupations. Meaning, its advisable to do personal work for professionals such as corporate employees, because they have sedantary job and this activities will help them being active, but professionals like researchers, politicians and doctors should dedicate their time doing more important things which ultimately results in the development of the country.

So all in all, it can be said that, everyone should try their best to do their work by themselves, but at the same time, we should also think about reducing unemployment and development of the country by providing work to less educated civilians and giving enough time to certain professionals to do their work efficiently.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing employment and the question of whether people should perform these tasks themselves. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the 'development of the country' is mentioned but not fully explored or supported with specific evidence. While the response covers all requirements, the depth of analysis is more consistent with a Band 6.0, as some points remain slightly superficial and could benefit from more detailed explanation or concrete examples to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. The introduction sets the stage, and the body paragraphs follow a logical progression. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Additionally', and 'So all in all' are used to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the slightly awkward transition between the benefits of employment and the personal benefits of doing chores. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is clear enough to follow without difficulty.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task. The student uses some topic-specific terms like 'unemployment', 'financially independent', and 'sedentary job'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'provide an employment' (should be 'provide employment') and 'this activities' (should be 'these activities'). The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey the message, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band. Spelling errors like 'simaltaneously' and 'youeself' also occur, though they do not impede communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the student attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('people who has busy schedule', 'this activities will help them being active') and article usage. Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some errors in capitalization and word formation. Despite these errors, the meaning is consistently clear, and the errors do not cause significant difficulty for the reader. The control of grammar is sufficient for a Band 6.0, as the student demonstrates an ability to construct complex sentences despite the recurring inaccuracies.
