Student answer (Band 6.0)

In modern era, the life is so fast paced that people do not have even sufficient time to manage their personal and professional life balance. It is surely possible that they are willing to pay the cost to get work done by someone else. This essay will discuss the all aspects in details.

To begin with, there is no denying in the fact that nowadays life is more busier than previous times. Even males and females both are working equally so they get enough time for household chores like cleaning ,laundry and many more things including taking care of their child.

So they hire housekeeper and babysitter and that is totally fine.

The first reason is as the people are getting employment and getting paid for their work and secondly the people who are paying will feel less pressure and more comfortable as they are getting their work done.

In addition to this, due to busy schedules people do not have even courage to cook for themselves or do something after returning back from home. For instance me and my husband both are working so we hired a housekeeper for our households chores and that made our life quite easy.

In my prospective, if people are willing to do things by their own that is a positive aspect but if they are facing any kind of hindrance so right away they should hire a reliable person to get their stuff on time rather than exploiting themselves.

To conclude, There is nothing wrong to pay someone to do things you do not have time to do or you do not want to do intentionally.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: whether this is a good way to provide work and whether people should do these things themselves. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that hiring help provides employment and reduces stress, these points are not fully extended with detailed reasoning or broader societal implications. The position is clear, but the arguments remain at a surface level. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph explores the 'why' and 'how' of your arguments more deeply, perhaps by discussing the economic benefits of service industries or the personal value of self-reliance in more detail.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'To begin with', 'In addition to this', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally weak. For example, the transition between the benefits of hiring help and the personal anecdote in the third paragraph feels abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some relevant topic-specific terms like 'household chores', 'housekeeper', and 'fast paced'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'there is no denying in the fact' (should be 'there is no denying the fact') and 'exploiting themselves' (which is not the most natural fit for the context of doing chores). To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to replace generic phrases like 'do something' or 'get work done'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'life is more busier' (should be 'busier'), 'me and my husband' (should be 'my husband and I'), and 'do things by their own' (should be 'do things themselves'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement, correct comparative forms, and proofreading for basic punctuation errors to improve your accuracy.
