Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people believe that doing chores for home or taking care of children and any other handy tasks that requires lot of time, simply imbalance their routine with respect to work and personal life. They think it is best to hire and have the work done as it also benefit the community by providing them jobs. Both the points have thier own reasons and will discuss in the passage.
Firstly, people who are from major work backgrounds like IT sectors, financial analysts or business owners are keen towards thier work rather spending time at home. For instance, They barely notice at their house chores that needs attention in terms of fixture or replacing any household item. Morever, they look for alternative solution by calling artsian or handyman to do the unattended work as they feel it shall waste their time and energy. However, they believe in creation of jobs for others with positive intent so that they can provide bread and butter for their family as well.
On the other hand, most of the people are so fascinated by doing their home errands. It makes them more responsible towards the neccesity of getting work done. For exmaple, In western countries like USA, Canada people often bring relevant items from home depot or appliances store to fix their doors, locks etc. by themselves. People think it not compulsion to call someone to do the needful as it will impact heavily on their pockets.
In the conclusion, both the points have their own perspective as one has strong intention to create jobs and other like to do chores by himself.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the benefits of outsourcing tasks and the reasons why some prefer to do them personally. However, the development is somewhat superficial. The arguments regarding job creation and personal responsibility are introduced but not fully explored with depth. For instance, the discussion on 'western countries' is a brief observation rather than a well-supported argument. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed reasoning and specific examples that illustrate the broader societal or personal implications of these choices. The position is clear, but the overall development lacks the depth required for a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'On the other hand', and 'In the conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between IT professionals and job creation is a bit abrupt. Additionally, some transitions are missing or awkward, which affects the overall smoothness of the argument. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words would enhance the logical progression of your ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'handy tasks', 'errands', and 'handyman'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'fixture' instead of 'fixings' or 'repairs', and 'neccesity' (spelling error). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic descriptors. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and less common lexical items to demonstrate a wider range and better control over nuance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'tasks that requires', 'Both the points have thier own reasons') and punctuation errors. Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'They barely notice at their house chores'. These errors do not generally impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
