Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, unemployment rate has been increasing. Some people provide work by hiring the house assistant or maid for daily house related work. While others believe that these things should be done by themselves. I will discuss both the view points in this essay and also provide my genuine feedback for this development.
On the one hand, it has been shown that individual with the degrees like engineering, doctor and lawyer struggles to find field work in any country because of high level of market competition. As a result, jobless ratio has increased in past few years. If someone hire for daily routine work at home, they are not just helping person but also contributing to country's economy. For example, recently i have hired unemployed youngster from my area holding graduate degree without work for almost 4 years and his salary is above the average market salary of bachelor.
On the other hand, there are some people who believe that take of the baby or looking after a house is responsibility of individual. There are numerous benefits of doing this. Firstly, you can keep yourself fit by doing daily routine things at a home. For Instance, my aunt has been housewife from many years and she prefers to do all the household work by herself. She is very fit and doesn't have any problem regarding health. Apart from this, both the parents are working at high level of roles in the company and don't have time to stay home. Consequently, they hire child care specialist for take care of their children. But child's most important years are their starting phase where both parents should take care of their children.
In conclusion, I have discussed both the views above. Although for daily chores of the house, you can hire someone which also contributing to decline of jobless rate. It's responsibility of the parents to take care of their child.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic impact of hiring help and the personal responsibility of performing chores. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the argument regarding job creation is clear, the discussion on personal responsibility is slightly disjointed, particularly the transition between the benefits of doing chores and the specific issue of childcare. The position is generally clear, but the conclusion is a bit repetitive and lacks a strong final synthesis of the two viewpoints. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph fully explores the implications of the arguments rather than just stating them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', 'For example', and 'Consequently' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as the transition between the aunt example and the childcare point. Referencing is generally clear, though the use of 'this' at the start of sentences occasionally lacks a precise antecedent, which slightly affects the smoothness of the progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common collocations, such as 'market competition' and 'child care specialist'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice and form, such as 'jobless ratio' instead of 'unemployment rate', 'take of the baby' instead of 'taking care of a baby', and 'has been housewife' instead of 'has been a housewife'. These errors do not impede communication but indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and articles.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the student attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the house assistant', 'the country's economy'), subject-verb agreement ('someone hire'), and verb tenses ('recently i have hired'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the misuse of articles and minor syntax errors occur throughout the text. The errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the intended meaning.
