Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some people tend to pay others to do things they do not have time to do or simply do not want to do. For example, they pay someone to look after their children or clean the house. Some individuals say these chores are personal and you should do them yourself. Of course, it is hard to pay someone to do all the daily housework, but you can hire someone to do them once a week.
In my opinion, it is a great way to handle different tasks and get everything done. Although everyone should know how to do basic chores such as cleaning or cooking, sometimes it is essential to focus on your own career and make yourself a priority. Besides, when you pay someone to do household tasks, not only you save your time and energy, but also you can provide jobs for people in need. It is a win-win situation. When I was a student I had an opportunity to help a family and got paid enough money to support myself.
On the negative side, there are some risks to be taken. For instance, hiring someone to take care of your children while you are at work requires great trust in the other person. The safety of the house should also be considered. Also, these works are considered boring and time-consuming, therefore it can require a lot of money to pay.
In my own experience, after my graduation I can not find enough time to clean the house properly due to my busy schedule, I pay a trustworthy acquaintance to do household chores once a month.
To conclude, each individual has a different preference. Although some may rather do home duties by themselves and consider them as their own responsibility, others would not mind imposing these tasks on other people. I believe the benefits of doing this outweigh the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefit of providing work and the personal aspect of performing chores oneself. The position is clear throughout, and the arguments are supported by personal experience. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the discussion on the risks of hiring help is brief and could have been expanded with more depth. While the task is fully addressed, the ideas are presented in a fairly straightforward manner, lacking the nuanced exploration required for a higher band. Overall, it is a solid response that covers all requirements effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different aspects of the argument. Cohesive devices such as 'In my opinion', 'Besides', 'On the negative side', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there is occasional repetition in sentence structure. The progression of ideas is clear, but the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and more sophisticated referencing to connect sentences more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task and allows for clear communication. The student uses some topic-specific terms like 'time-consuming' and 'household chores'. However, the range is somewhat limited and relies on fairly common expressions. There are minor issues with collocation, such as 'these works are considered boring' (tasks is more appropriate than works) and 'imposing these tasks on other people' (which carries a slightly negative connotation not intended here). To reach a higher band, the student should aim for more precise, less common vocabulary and demonstrate better control over word choice.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical errors. For example, 'not only you save your time... but also you can provide' should be 'not only do you save... but you can also provide'. Additionally, 'after my graduation I can not find' should be 'after graduating, I could not find'. There are also minor punctuation and tense inconsistencies. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Increasing the variety of error-free complex structures would improve the grade.
