Student answer (Band 6.0)
House hold help in the modern world is becoming widely popular due to a high-paced lifestyle. People have different opinion regarding obtaining house help is giving work to others or people can do their work by themselves. In this essay, I discuss both perspectives before explaining why I believe that both opinion have positive impacts if getting for appropriate purpose.
On the one hand, people argue that providing work to others as a household work has created an employment. This is due to provide a part-time or full-time work to somebody is getting a help in form of cleaning, food prep, and washing utensils save you plenty of time. This can be seen in international students who have to pay their tuition fee, rent, groceries and extra expenses needs a part-time work. All of these household chores provide them work to pay their expenses. Another significant example is that child-care university students. These students after their two-year completion eligible to practice residency such as in-house private child care, in-day care and in-schools care. In this way, providing them work to these students is not only providing financial independent but also providing them in-field experience to excel their expertises.
On the other hand, some people believe that people should do their work themselves without getting any help. I believe that when everyone working in nine to five job, travelling for work like long hours, no physical and mentally rest having obtaining help from others is not a bad idea. One important example of this is mother who deliver new-born baby need care and at the sometime new-born baby need care too. Furthermore, in this case, but looking for help after the child-birth is a good choice. Moreover, recent develop a case in postpartum depression "Lindsay Clancy", who was killed their own three children. She had postpartum depression after his third-child born. Therefore, attaining help for house or child is viable solution to keep-balance between work-family.
Taking everything into account, I believe that house help creating jobs for those who actually need it. On the flip side, maintaining the daily life in house having help is not bad idea.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and whether people should perform these tasks themselves. The position is clear, though the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding employment for students is well-supported with relevant examples. However, the second body paragraph, while attempting to address the necessity of help, becomes slightly disjointed when discussing postpartum depression. The connection between the example of 'Lindsay Clancy' and the general argument about household help is not fully articulated, which weakens the logical flow of the point. Overall, the response covers all requirements but could benefit from more nuanced exploration of the 'should' aspect of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand,' 'On the other hand,' and 'Taking everything into account,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Furthermore, in this case, but looking for help after the child-birth is a good choice.' Additionally, there are instances where referencing is unclear, and the internal structure of the second paragraph feels a bit fragmented. While the essay is coherent, the use of cohesive devices lacks the flexibility and natural flow required for a higher band score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'postpartum depression' and 'financial independent' (though this is grammatically incorrect). However, there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'household work has created an employment' instead of 'created employment opportunities' and 'excel their expertises' instead of 'enhance their expertise.' These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points. To improve, the student should focus on more accurate collocations and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('a high-paced lifestyle'), subject-verb agreement ('everyone working in nine to five job'), and sentence fragments or run-on sentences ('This is due to provide a part-time or full-time work to somebody is getting a help'). While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent and occur in both simple and complex structures. A higher band score would require more consistent control over basic grammar and fewer errors in complex sentence construction.
