Student answer (Band 5.5)
Undoubtedly, people nowadays do not do work by themselves they just paid for it and done it from others because of they don’t have time for it such as housework and take care of children. I think it is a good way of providing work to others. They should not do by themselves.
On the one hand, providing work to someone is a good way. First, in modern era people got busy in their life they do not have time to do household work and looking after their children. They simply hire maid for such work which is done by them. People must do long shifts sometimes which gives pressure to them, and they got exhausted and then they are unable to do work at home. So, they just want to relax their body and do work from others by paying them. As a result, unemployed people can earn a little bit money by this and can complete family’s needs. Moreover, people can do their work outside tension free because they don’t need to worry about household chores which can be done by their maids. Thus, their life can become balanced.
However, they may have free time during weekends when they are free from their work. So during weekend they just want to spend their quality time with their family members to go on picnic and outside which will be fruitful for them. By this, not only they will spend quality time together, but they will also enjoy themselves and explore more. They will feel energetic and excited. Apart from this, household chores and care about children is a normal and regular duty which can never ending so if they will have spare time and enjoy together this will become worthwhile for them.
To conclude, I think people should hire the maids for their work at home and pay for them this will be beneficial for their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the question of whether people should perform these tasks themselves. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the argument that people are 'busy' and 'exhausted' is stated multiple times without significant extension. While a clear position is maintained throughout, the reasoning lacks depth and specific examples. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced arguments, such as the social impact of domestic service or the potential loss of personal responsibility, rather than focusing solely on the convenience of hiring help.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'However', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'do work from others' or 'which is done by them'. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear; for example, in the phrase 'which is done by them', it is ambiguous whether 'them' refers to the maids or the tasks. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring clear pronoun references would enhance the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'do work', 'good way', and 'have time'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'do work from others' instead of 'delegate tasks' or 'outsource work', and 'earn a little bit money' instead of 'earn a modest income'. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to employment and lifestyle, and try to avoid repeating simple verbs like 'do' and 'have'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('people... just paid for it'), incorrect verb forms ('they don’t have time... such as housework and take care of children'), and awkward phrasing ('do work from others by paying them'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage.
