Student answer (Band 6.5)
People can sometimes hire others to handle household chores or look after their children when they are either unwilling or unable to devote sufficient time to these responsibilities. I partially agree the given notion and I am going to explain my views along with some relevant examples in my upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, in today’s fast-paced world, many individuals want to live a happy life while achieving financial freedom. However, to acheive this, people need to stay focused towards their career, jobs or businesses in order to make more money. By following hectic schedule in their daily routine, it becomes quite difficult for them to manage their household tasks. By hiring someone, they can take some rest from their daily chores and focus on their career. Moreover, this arrangement is particularly beneficial for single parents. For example, a single father or mother can rely on a childcare provider to look after their child, allowing them to focus on their jobs.
On the contrary, I believe that there are some drawbacks too, which should not be ignored. Firstly, the trust factor. Nowadays, no one can easily place blind trust in a random person without checking their background or history. There should be certain protocols should be followed in order to pass the safety check. For instance, in some countries, childcare providers are required to undergo police background checks before being allowed to care for children. In addition to this, this may increase the chances of person becoming lazy day by day by avoiding their personal chores.
To conclude, I believe that this is one of the best options for people who want to focus on their dreams, goals, or careers by hiring a personal assistant to take care of their daily tasks. However, there are also some negative aspects that should be taken into consideration before placing blind trust in someone.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: whether this is a good way to provide work and whether people should do these things themselves. The position is clear, although the introduction is slightly vague with 'I partially agree the given notion'. The ideas are relevant, such as the benefits for single parents and the necessity of background checks. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the point about becoming 'lazy' is mentioned but not fully explored. To reach a higher band, you should provide more depth in your arguments and ensure the conclusion directly reflects the balanced view presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with clear paragraphing. Each paragraph has a central theme, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the contrary' effectively. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes a bit mechanical or repetitive. To improve, try to vary your linking phrases and ensure that the transition between the benefits of hiring help and the risks of doing so is smoother. The referencing is generally clear, and the overall structure supports the development of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'fast-paced world', 'financial freedom', and 'protocols'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'acheive' (spelling error) and 'the given notion' (which sounds slightly unnatural). You attempt to use some less common vocabulary, but it is not always used with complete precision. To improve, focus on collocations and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to employment and domestic life would also be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While many sentences are clear, there are some grammatical errors, such as 'There should be certain protocols should be followed' (a double verb structure) and 'chances of person becoming lazy' (missing article). These errors do not impede communication, but they do indicate a need for more careful proofreading. To reach a higher band, aim for more consistent control over complex structures and ensure that your subject-verb agreement and article usage are accurate throughout the text.
