Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is occasionally feasible to outsource the work we are reluctant to do or lack time to do, such as housework or childcare. While some believe it is a smart way to balance professional and personal lives while giving employment opportunities to unemployed, others criticize this trend as they opine people should do such work themselves.
This phenomenon definitely provide employment prospects to the people and assists in strengthening the economy. Since many individuals live in nuclear families, they do not have enough time to fulfill job demands and complete household chores. As a result, they look for assistance to reduce their workload and have a better quality of life. This also benefits the jobless by providing them a variety of freelancing work which helps them financially. To exemplify, full-time students can make some cash while providing childcare to the needy families during weekends, this mutually benefit both the families and the students.
I believe the trend is beneficial to the society as a whole. There should not be any compulsion to do all household chores themselves if people can afford outsourcing them. Since they study hard, earn good money, they have the right to hire others for works they cannot do because of busier schedules or just for the sake of comfort.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of outsourcing work and the question of whether people should do these tasks themselves. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum requirement (213 words), which limits the depth of development. While the position is clear, the arguments—particularly regarding the moral or personal obligation to perform chores—are somewhat underdeveloped. To reach a higher band, you need to expand on your points with more detailed explanations and perhaps a more nuanced discussion of the 'should' aspect of the prompt to ensure the response is fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'As a result' and 'To exemplify,' which help the flow. However, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is slightly abrupt. The use of referencing is generally clear, but the overall structure feels a bit thin due to the limited word count. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a strong topic sentence and that you use a wider variety of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'outsource,' 'nuclear families,' and 'employment prospects.' There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'giving employment opportunities to unemployed' (should be 'the unemployed') and 'mutually benefit' (should be 'mutually benefits'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, it lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher bands. Try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and avoid repetitive phrasing to enhance the lexical quality of your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as the conditional 'if people can afford outsourcing them.' There are some grammatical errors, such as 'This phenomenon definitely provide' (should be 'provides') and 'the needy families' (article usage). Punctuation is generally functional, though some sentences could be refined for better clarity. The errors present do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent use of articles to improve your accuracy.
