Student answer (Band 6.0)

There are some duties are now not limited to a person's personal priority. It may be due to they do not have time or just being lazy towards the work such as cleaning or childcare. I believe this the positive impact to give the work to others. The people should not do this by themselves.

The professional life becomes hectic day by day. It is hard to balance both the work responsibilities and and house chores. For example if it id cleaned by servant then it saves time, and remove stress. Also, a person who is working 8 hours a day cannot spent another 4 hours in the kitchen for cleaning, instead they can utilize those time by invest on personal well-being.

Additionally, a child can raise in the day care. This is the best place to get the best nurturing. For example, children can learn comprehensive skills, behavioural knowledge, games, and many more activities. It helps to grow them independently with proper guidance and care. Furthermore, it increases the discipline in the children's life such as after dinner they know where to put the dirty plate, how to wash the hands, where to put the shoes and how to greet someone and how to respect someone. This is really hard for working partners to give to their child. Thus, it is good for child to raise in the day care.

To conclude, there are some works can be done by hiring other person so, it reduces the stress and that makes life easy and more manageable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefit of providing work and the question of whether people should perform these tasks themselves. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the argument for hiring help is clear, the discussion on childcare is slightly repetitive and focuses more on the benefits of daycare rather than directly addressing the 'should people do these things themselves' aspect in a balanced way. The position is consistent throughout, but the ideas could be extended with more nuanced reasoning to reach a higher band. The response is just over the minimum length, which limits the depth of the arguments provided.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Additionally,' 'For example,' and 'To conclude,' though some transitions feel a bit mechanical. There is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. However, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the opening sentence where the phrasing 'duties are now not limited to a person's personal priority' is confusing. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main arguments, which helps the reader follow the writer's train of thought.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their opinions clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'nurturing' and 'manageable,' but the range is somewhat limited. Some word choices are slightly unnatural or imprecise, such as 'if it id cleaned by servant' (should be 'if it is cleaned by a domestic worker') and 'a child can raise in the day care' (should be 'a child can be raised'). Spelling errors like 'id' instead of 'is' and 'spent' instead of 'spend' occur, but they do not impede overall communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the flow of the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('There are some duties are now not limited'), incorrect verb forms ('a child can raise'), and missing articles ('by servant'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that require the reader to re-read for clarity. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band, as the control over complex structures is not yet consistent.
