Student answer (Band 6.0)

In current world, the trend of paying someone to perform their task like looking after children, household chores has been popular If, the individual has no time to do it by their own. I believe this form has a positive outcome as It will make life more easier.

To begin with, one of the main reasons for providing work to others is good because it will improve employment for the people who are not educated. There many people around the globe who want's to work and earn money but do not get this opportunity as they have no funds to go to school and get education. Moreover, it will lessen the stress of the person giving work and helps improve focus on their profession. For example, if someone is working from home and hires a helper can improve their ability to perform work related task as they do not have to look after household chores and mainly focus on job.

According to me, If person does not have time to perform this household task on their own, one should not do it as it would cause unnecessary burden on them along with that, the work would not be done in better way quality wise. For example, if one do not have time to finish dishes and forceful spare very less time it would not be wash properly which can be dangerous. Moreover, kids would also not receive excellence care if one is work while, along side looking after their children.

To sum up, although some people would not like to hire people to perform routine task but, It is beneficial in term of providing employment along with receiving a better quality of work.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of providing work for others and the question of whether people should perform these tasks themselves. The position is clear throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding employment for the uneducated is a good point, but it could be expanded with more specific examples or deeper analysis. The second body paragraph attempts to explain why people should do things themselves, but the reasoning is slightly repetitive and lacks a sophisticated exploration of the trade-offs involved. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main idea is fully supported with detailed explanations rather than just stating the point.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'To sum up' are used to guide the reader through the argument. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed. For example, the transition between the benefits of hiring help and the personal burden of doing chores could be smoother. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, which occasionally forces the reader to re-read to grasp the intended meaning. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring tighter logical connections would enhance the coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate their ideas clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary such as 'employment', 'opportunity', and 'routine task'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of word-choice errors or awkward phrasing, such as 'make life more easier' (a double comparative) and 'receive excellence care' (should be 'excellent'). To improve, the student should focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. Expanding the range of vocabulary to include more sophisticated synonyms would help in achieving a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('there many people', 'if one do not have'), punctuation errors (missing commas, incorrect capitalization), and awkward sentence construction ('If, the individual has no time to do it by their own'). These errors are noticeable and occur regularly, though they do not completely impede communication. To progress, the student needs to focus on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with verb forms and sentence punctuation, before attempting more complex structures.
