Student answer (Band 6.5)
In today's fast paced world, people often choose to hire maids or nannies to help with household chores or childcare, providing them a relief from their demanding work schedules. From my perspective, this is overall a positive trend as it creates employment opportunities in addition to other benefits.
On one hand, performing duties like household work or looking after children would teach you crucial skills which could be beneficial in other aspects of your life. By managing routine chores along with work or studies, an individual practices the skill of time management. Consequently, they become more efficient at juggling various duties at once. For example, if a student manages housework as well as a challenging academic scehdule, he/she becomes exceptionally adept at managing stress.
On the other hand, paying someone to do the household work allows you to pay attention on other aspects of life which you would rather miss when caught up in routine tasks. For instance, hiring help could provide flexibility to focus on other important things like spending time with family or on any hobby, decreasing the chances of burnout from work/studies. As a result, individuals experience increased life satisfaction. Subsequently, it provides employment for people who have significant experience in such areas. This could considerably help any community to bond and generate jobs through referrals.
In conclusion, although doing the manual chores at home teach you important life skills, the benefits of paid help significantly contribute to the overall life satisfaction of an individual as well as creating job opportunities in a community.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed both parts of the prompt: the economic benefit of providing work and the personal aspect of whether individuals should perform these tasks themselves. Your position is clear from the introduction and maintained throughout. The ideas are relevant and logically extended, particularly the discussion on time management versus life satisfaction. To reach a higher band, ensure that your examples are slightly more specific; for instance, instead of a general 'student', you could describe a specific scenario of a working parent. Overall, the response is well-balanced and directly answers the prompt requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear progression of ideas. You have used cohesive devices effectively, such as 'On one hand', 'On the other hand', 'Consequently', and 'In conclusion', which help the reader follow your argument. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main viewpoints. The flow between sentences is generally smooth, although some transitions could be more varied to avoid a slightly mechanical feel. The referencing is clear, and the structure supports the overall argument well.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to discuss the topic with precision. Phrases like 'demanding work schedules', 'exceptionally adept', and 'increased life satisfaction' are used correctly. There is an attempt to use less common vocabulary, which is generally successful. However, there is a minor spelling error ('scehdule') and some word choice could be more natural, such as 'pay attention on' which should be 'pay attention to'. The vocabulary is adequate for the task and allows for clear communication of your ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures effectively. Most of your sentences are clear and error-free, which aids readability. There are some minor grammatical slips, such as 'doing the manual chores... teach' (subject-verb agreement: should be 'teaches') and 'providing them a relief' (should be 'providing them with relief'). Despite these occasional errors, your control of grammar is good, and the meaning is never obscured. You show a good grasp of punctuation and sentence variety, which is a strength.
