Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the recent time, most of the people are becoming lazy and they do not want to do there work by there own. people think that they are too much busy in there work and others problems and they do not have enough time to do there household works, for example, household works, cleaning of there home etc. As a result of this, they hire mad
for it. It is good for them There are some problems because of this. I will discuss this occurance in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, in the modern time, most of the ladies are doing work outside. Because of this, they do not have enough time for there other work, such as, household chores etc. to examplify, women are more active in the outside same as man . They feel that they should be independanenat and they want to do work as well. As a result of this, they feel difficulties in there personal and professional life. Most of the working women prefer to hire mad because it is very easy for them. At one point, it is convinenant for them as well because they can save there energy and time also.
On the other hand, i feel that some women are not working because they have there some own reasons, for example, some are pregnant, etc. To explicate , it will be good for them to hire clenaer for there house because sometimes at the early stage of pregancy it is easy for them to do work, but after some time they feel difficulties for them. Consequently, they prefer to give money to someone for there home cleaning. Additionally, some women are facing problems because there husband is not support them and take care of them, Because of this, they find some household and cleaning job. For example, at my home, one old age is coming for cleaning daily because she has lots of problems form his husband and also she is living in rental house and her husband is not give money for rent also. As a result of this, she is coming daily at my home and doing her work. She pay the fees for her children and paying rent form the money which she earns at my home.
To conclude, in the present time, women have to do many things. Moreover, many ladies do not want to do work , but they have some personal problems. Indeed, they have to do. In my point of view, it is easy for some women to get money form this household works because through that, they can survive.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the benefits of hiring help and the necessity of doing tasks oneself. However, the development is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. The argument focuses heavily on women in the workforce and pregnancy, which limits the scope of the discussion. While the position is generally clear, the ideas are not fully extended, and the focus on personal anecdotes, such as the specific story about the cleaner at the student's home, detracts from a more balanced, analytical approach required for an IELTS Task 2 essay. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points raised.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often hindered by repetitive phrasing and awkward transitions. While cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'Consequently' are used, they are sometimes applied mechanically or incorrectly. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'there' instead of 'their' throughout the text, which disrupts the flow of ideas. The paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks a clear, cohesive argument, making the overall progression feel disjointed at times.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'mad' instead of 'maid', 'examplify' for 'exemplify', 'independanenat' for 'independent', and 'clenaer' for 'cleaner'. These errors, combined with the consistent confusion between 'there' and 'their', significantly impact the clarity of the writing. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely, relying on basic, everyday language that does not demonstrate the flexibility required for higher band scores.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are frequently marred by grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'her husband is not give money') and incorrect word forms. Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and spacing. The persistent misuse of 'there' for 'their' and 'they're' is a systemic error that affects readability. The grammatical control is weak, and the frequency of errors is high enough to cause some difficulty for the reader, though the main points remain generally understandable.
