Student answer (Band 6.0)

Some people think that we can hire someone for the work we do not have time to do , and with this we can create different job opportunities but, on the other hand some people think we should have done these things by ourselves. In my opinion I think there is no harm paying someone for work that we do not Have time to do but it can be wrong if you are doing for being lazy.

Firstly , it creates good job opportunities for younger people. I have a strong job position to explain this . In babysitting we are creating a good way for youth to earn some money for them. In this world both of the parents are working so it is hard for them to take care of their kids. By hiring a babysitter it can be easier for them to go to the work without worrying about their kid back home . Both of the parties are in profit in this way.

Secondly , it helps to manage life by dividing work .when someone is running a business they always hire multiple people to manage different work for more efficient work . Everything will run more smoothly if work will be divided .

On the other hand somtimes kids take advantage of this for their work. Some kids pay to others for their assignments which is wrong. In this way , they are not gonna learn anything.

As conclusion , i would say in this world it is efficient to hire multiple people for the work you do not have time to do. But it can be harmful if we are taking advantage of this for being lazy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the benefits of job creation and the question of whether people should perform tasks themselves. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding job creation is clear, but the second point about personal responsibility is less developed, relying on a single example of students paying for assignments. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced reasoning about the personal value of performing chores, such as the development of life skills or personal discipline, rather than focusing primarily on the negative aspect of laziness. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of analysis could be improved.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the phrase 'I have a strong job position to explain this', which is unclear. Additionally, the concluding paragraph is quite brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some relevant topic-specific terms like 'job opportunities', 'babysitting', and 'efficient'. However, there is a reliance on simple or repetitive language, such as 'work' and 'things', which appear frequently. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'I have a strong job position to explain this' and 'Both of the parties are in profit'. To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and idiomatic expressions to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'some people think we should have done these things by ourselves' (tense error), 'both of the parents are working' (article usage), and 'As conclusion' (preposition error). There are also issues with capitalization and sentence fragments, such as 'In this way , they are not gonna learn anything.' The use of 'gonna' is too informal for an IELTS essay. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will help improve your score.
