Student answer (Band 4.5)
Nowadays, in many societies individual rely on online applications to maintain their friendships and social relationships. Their is rising demand of online platforms, as it is convenient and budget friendly as compared to other alternatives. According to my perspective, it is a positive development since individual can communicate across the globe using technology.
One of the reasons, why people dependent on social applications for communication is, it is convenient and cost effective. To maintain a bond with friends require time, effort, price if it is done in person. However, it is far more easy with the technology as individual only require an electronic device and internet connection, making it best method to interact, while having a busy schedule. For example, Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger are one of the most trending online platforms to engage socially with friends and society in less cost.
The possibility of communicating at global level makes it a positive development. The social platforms have made it very easy to communicate with closed ones living across the globe and interconnecting everyone. Although many friends and family members live abroad, still they are connected by the medium of technology. For instance, many international students in Canada and America use social platform such as Snapchat to share their daily update by sending strikes to their friends, who live in other countries.
In conclusion, accessibility and low cost for usage, make people rely on online platforms to maintain their rapport with their friends and society.
The engagement of individuals at international platform make it a positive growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 2.0
The response is completely off-topic. The prompt asks about the ethics and implications of paying others to perform household chores or childcare. However, the essay discusses the use of online applications and social media for maintaining friendships. Because the student failed to address the specific task requirements entirely, the response cannot be assessed for task development or position. It fails to answer the questions regarding whether this is a good way of providing work or whether people should perform these tasks themselves. Consequently, the score reflects a failure to engage with the provided prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs with clear topic sentences, such as 'One of the reasons, why people dependent on social applications...' and 'The possibility of communicating at global level...'. There is a logical progression of ideas, and cohesive devices like 'However', 'For example', and 'In conclusion' are used to link sentences. While the content is irrelevant to the prompt, the structure itself is coherent and follows a standard essay format. The paragraphing is logical, and referencing is generally clear, which prevents the score from being lower despite the lack of relevance to the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, showing an attempt to use topic-specific language such as 'interconnecting', 'rapport', and 'cost-effective'. However, there are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'individual rely' (should be 'individuals rely'), 'in less cost' (should be 'at a lower cost'), and 'sending strikes' (likely a misuse of 'streaks'). While the range is sufficient to express ideas clearly, the inaccuracies in collocation and word form prevent a higher score. The vocabulary is repetitive in places, but it does not impede the reader's understanding of the student's intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'Their is rising demand' (should be 'There is a rising demand'), 'individual can communicate' (should be 'individuals can communicate'), and 'To maintain a bond... require time' (should be 'requires time'). Punctuation is generally functional, but subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While the errors are frequent, they rarely impede communication. The student shows an attempt at complex structures, but the control over these is limited, resulting in a score that reflects these persistent errors.
