Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this twenty one century, masses are busy as bee in their daily functioning. While , some prefer to do it by their own way, however few are depend on others. This essay will discuss that it is an excellent way to provide help in case of money to others and humans should do it by themselves, it is their personal choice or depend upon their circumstances.

One of the potential advantage of this trend is that it supports major employment among poor people. Countless humans cannot afford even a good meal two times a day. When they are provided with small jobs such as household chores, looking after children and elder ones, than they can easily pay for their fundamental needs. For illustration, a recent survey was conducted by a famous newspaper which revealed the data that 7 out of 10 humans are working in homes for domestic work with excellent wages. Thus, it is a massive help to decrease the unemployment among masses and remarkable for the economy as well.

On the other hand, it is not crucial that people should do it by themselves or not. If humans have incredible hectic schedule, they can hire someone to assist them at their home to get a good rest for a while. A good example of this would be a new mother or a first time mother. It is an extremely challenging to handle all the responsibilities of new born baby with a office work for a mother. As a result, at this time she ought to prioritize to hire a helper over choosing extra work for herself.

To conclude, although, providing employment is a stunning way to decline the line of poverty in a city or nation, but masses should choose it according to their daily preferences and choices that should meet the requirements to their pockets also.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the economic benefit of providing work and the personal decision to perform chores oneself. The position is clear, though the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding employment is supported by a general reference to a survey, but the analysis of whether people 'should' do these things themselves is less nuanced, relying on a single example of a new mother. To reach a higher band, the essay would benefit from a more balanced exploration of the social implications of outsourcing domestic labor, rather than focusing primarily on the individual's convenience.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'On the other hand', 'For illustration', and 'To conclude' are used to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the opening sentence is somewhat disjointed, and the use of 'than' instead of 'then' in the second paragraph creates a minor disruption in logical progression. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the internal cohesion within sentences could be improved to ensure a smoother, more natural reading experience.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. There are several instances of unnatural collocations and word choice errors, such as 'masses are busy as bee' (idiom error), 'in this twenty one century' (grammatical/lexical error), and 'decline the line of poverty'. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'domestic work' and 'unemployment', the overall range is limited, and the phrasing often feels repetitive or slightly inaccurate, which prevents the expression of more sophisticated ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that, while not impeding communication, are noticeable. Examples include 'few are depend on others' (should be 'few depend'), 'One of the potential advantage' (should be 'advantages'), and 'It is an extremely challenging to handle'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage around conjunctions. The student demonstrates an attempt at complex structures, but the control over these is inconsistent, leading to errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage throughout the text.
