Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is a growing tendency now a days ,to pay any body to perform duties regarding household chores and take care of kids. This trend leads to many controversies some people says this is beneficial for needy people to help them, while others reject this notion and argue that these duties must be performed by themselves. The substantial influence of this trend has sparked the controversy of its potential impact over the recent years. In my perspective, the former proposal seems to be more rational, and this essay will further elaborate my views.
The preponderant one is that, we are living in a digital era where the trends has been changed in every aspect of life. Now there are a greater number of nuclear families rather than joint families. It becomes very helpful if someone arranges a helper for household works. If we think pragmatically it is pretty hard for any one to perform all duties efficiently, such as, cooking, washing, cleaning. Another striking feature is that, many ladies now prefer to work outside instead of living at home and doing household chores. There point of view is also very valid that they have worked hard in learning and developing skills, hence, they must do jobs to earn . In this scenario the children effects more. But solution is provided by the maids and daycare centers.
In addition, many affluent people do not work themselves, they have enough money to assist their duties at home and taking care of their children. On the contrary, most people cannot afford helpers to assist them. Government should help such people and provide them certain amount of funds .To recapitulate, the reasons mentioned above describes the positivity of giving money to someone for help in house hold works and looking after the children.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the benefits of providing work for others and the necessity of performing chores personally. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While you present arguments for outsourcing chores, the second part of the prompt—whether people should do these things themselves—is addressed only briefly and lacks depth. The conclusion is also quite abrupt and introduces a new, tangential point about government funding that was not previously discussed. To improve, ensure that each side of the argument is given balanced, detailed support with clear examples, and avoid introducing new ideas in the final paragraph.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'The preponderant one is that' to start a paragraph. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt, making the flow feel disjointed in places. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'In this scenario the children effects more,' where the connection to the previous point is not explicitly stated. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help create a more seamless progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some more sophisticated terms like 'pragmatically' and 'affluent.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'assist their duties' (instead of 'perform their duties') and 'the children effects more' (instead of 'are affected more'). Some phrasing is also repetitive or slightly unnatural, such as 'the trends has been changed.' To reach a higher band, focus on using collocations accurately and refining your word choice to ensure it sounds more natural in an academic context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally hinder the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('the trends has been changed,' 'some people says'), incorrect verb forms ('the children effects more'), and punctuation errors, such as unnecessary commas ('now a days ,to pay'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound.
